This was a unfortunate situation. We reserved a room at the Red Roof Inn, down the block, from this loaction, 6 months ago. When we arrived Red Roof Inn told us our reservation did not exist. I contacted ******* and they rebooked our room at the Econo Lodge for the same price. The property was very sub par. The first room we were in the shower/bathtub system had no hot water and was dirty. The second room had water seeping in under the floor. We were in a no win situation because we came to Mississippi for a giant car show that we had paid to be a part of. We knew there were no other hotels available, for a reasonable price, so, we had to stay. We had very long days, at the show and I guess that was a blessing to stay away from the area and this crappy room.
I fault Red Roof Inn for lieing to us. They told us not to trust any third party like ******* The truth is they cancelled our room just so we would pay more. I also fault ******* for not guaranteeing our room and feel that we should not have had to pay for any of it. We deserve a refund. Will we get it, NO, because no one cares.
Bottom line:
1. Red Roof Inn is at fault for all of this.
2. ******* is at fault for not guaranteeing our room.
3. ECONO LODGE for thinking such a crappy hotel would be acceptable to anyone.
