Jicuiyuan is excellent for cleanliness, with spacious, bright rooms and no odors. The staff is warm and attentive, and the entire check-in process was smooth. The breakfast was rich and fresh, and the Japanese cuisine was authentic. I had a very comfortable two-night stay.

I actually wanted to make a reservation with meals included, but unfortunately I wasn't able to, so I think it would have been better if meals had been included. It was also nice that there was a bus shuttle to the dance venue.

A family of three went there for Christmas. The hotel is conveniently located, with easy parking. The service, hardware, breakfast, etc. all meet the expected Japanese standards. I will recommend it to my friends and will stay there again next time.

The hotel is located in the middle of the mountain. We are traveling by car. The hotel has an open-air parking lot.
The environment is quiet and relaxing. Offers a 1-night-2-food plan, and the food is delicious.
Although the hotel does not have a large bathhouse, the soaking tub in the room is large. You can buy bath powder in the hotel store and take a bath, which is very convenient.
The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. There is no space problem at all when opening two 26" suitcases.
The hotel staff are very polite and kind.
It only takes 2 minutes to drive from the hotel to Gujo Hachiman Castle (actually just go up the mountain road), and it takes about 15-20 minutes to walk. But it’s worth a visit to enjoy the panoramic view of Gunjo Hachiman Castle Town.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff are great. It feels very relaxed and calming in this hotel; all the staffs were Japanese. It’s a 15-20mins walk up to the Gujo Hachiman castle. Beautiful view. They have free parking facilities and free flow coffee/tea plus juices at lobby. Highly recommended.

Probably the best hotel in Gujo Hachiman and located uphill on the way to the Gujo Hachiman Castle. Guji Hachiman is a small town. But the town produced a majority of Japan’s wax food replica for restaurants. Walking to the town centre from the hotel is about 10 minutes downhill. But walking back is a uphill journey. The hotel is basically quiet, as well as the town itself. Check in staff was not all experienced so have to be patient. There is free drinks available at the lobby. Our room is a nice room, spacious and with an outdoor bathtub/onsen. The view from balcony overlooking the city is a nice view. The room itself is new, or recently renovated. Toilet and bathroom is spacious. There is also a separate sitting area of sofa. Complimentary drinks are available to hotel guests at the lobby. Dinner and breakfast is served in the restaurant. The food was ok, though not particularly impressive. It is a nice hotel if you want to spend sometime in the tiny city for a relaxing stay.

After my stay, I drove around Gujo Hachiman Castle and found this hotel at the bottom of a one-way road. Gujo Hachiman Castle is also known as "Sekisui Castle," which is likely where the hotel's name comes from. Instead of the "large public bath" common in hotels of this type, each guest room had a slightly larger bathroom with its own washing area. This approach may be more popular with inbound tourists who don't like large public baths. Next to the lobby on the first floor are two semicircular Japanese-style rooms, presumably renovated from the former large public bath. Breakfast and dinner were served in smaller partitioned rooms from the former banquet hall, allowing for a relaxing meal. Dinner was hearty, including sashimi, grilled sweetfish, beef shabu-shabu, and more, but it was delicious and more than I could eat. Breakfast was also a hearty feast, including a seasonal vegetable hotpot and hoba miso.

We stopped here for lunch on a day trip bus tour. There was a wide variety of food, including sashimi, tempura, pork grilled with miso and chawanmushi (each portion was small). It was included in the tour fee, so I don't know how much it cost, but it was delicious and satisfying.
