Liked · Beautifully restored building in a great location. Disliked · Air conditioning was not working. Very poor communication from the property. Check in time is misleading. Our request for early check in was confirmed, but the room was not ready on our arrival and there were no plans to do so. The coffee was not topped up during our stay so the kettle in the room was useless. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. The garden was unusable during our stay as it was being worked on. Won’t recommend and won’t be back.

This s a long overdue but heartfelt review of a place of character and grace. The staff could not have been more accommodating: We had difficulty finding our way because the GPS on our rented motorcycle failed us. I can't be sure if it was Yolanda and Rita (and a gentleman whose name I don't remember) who met us in town and accompanied us to the hotel, but we were grateful and touched by how everyone extended themselves. Our downstairs living quarters overlooked a sweet square, breakfast was delicious, and right next door is an adorable cafe with a charming proprietress. Guimaraes is a worthy stop and Casa do Juncal is very special!

We stayed 3 enjoyable nights in the friendly, hospitable Casa do Juncal on our first visit to the fabulous town of Guimaraes. This is a small bed/breakfast hotel with a rear garden which is an oasis of peace in the town centre. A very good breakfast is served by friendly, efficient staff. Highly recommended!

Hotel num edifício de traça antiga e muito bem recuperado. Arquitetura e decoração espetacular. Pequeno-almoço delicioso. Localização espetacular, dá para passear a pé por todo o centro da cidade. O logradouro foi recuperado e transformado num pequeno jardim muito agradável e que faz toda a diferença, tanto no ambiente do pequeno-almoço, como numa bebida ao fim do dia. Adorámos e vamos voltar.

O hotel embora interessante e bem localizado possui um atendimento aquém de sofrível. Cheguei no hotel 'as 14h30 e já não mais havia atendimento humano. Porém até aí ok pois o check in eletrônico funcionou a contento. Quando adentrei no apto e percebi a limpeza não tão adequada, tentei contato por telefone e whatsapp porem sem qualquer sucesso. No dia seguinte encontrava-me descansando quando bateram na porta do apto. pois iriam remover a cortina , pasme. E por fim diziam no email que o estacionamento seria gratuito e depois desmentiram. E no final para coroar a mediocridade , me ofereceram um desconto na proxima estadia .Nunca mais estarei ali , fui tratado como gado.

Estadia muito boa .O quarto de hotel era amplo e bem decorado,as camas eram confortáveis e tinha espaço de arrumação disponível .O ambiente no hotel era calmo com poucos quartos . O atendimento foi muito prestável e o pequeno almoço era muito bom.

chambre d'hôtes ou hôtel de charme, la Casa do Juncal a beaucoup de charme, notre chambre double au dernier étage était spacieux et très confortable. Le salon manquait un peu de mobilier confortable (un vieux divan/lit qu'il fallait déplacer pour regarder la TV) Petit bémol aucune chaine TV française! Un autre point un peu négatif qui peut devenir désagréable le miaulement de plusieurs chats durant la nuit. Le petit déjeuner excellent est servi au rez de chaussée dans une belle salle avec vue sur jardin. Nous sommes en pleine vieille ville dans des petites ruelles très sympa mais attention adresse pas toujours facile à trouver!
