The five-star Lijiang Waterfall Hotel (Lijiang Fandian) impresses visitors on first sight with its signature waterfall tumbling down over the building's north face. The location is equally impressive, facing Fir Lake and adjacent to Elephant Trunk Hill (Xiangbi Shan) to the south and Solitary Beauty Peak (Duxiu Feng) to the north. The surrounding gardens and woods are also very nice. A stellar view of the city is found on the balcony on the 13th and 14th floors, but all rooms and suites offer good views of Guilin's spectacularly photogenic scenery.Thirteen restaurants serving both Chinese and Western foods won't disappoint. The large conference room (seating 400) will also come in handy if you happen to be in Guilin for business rather than pleasure and need to host a large meeting or function.

the location is good. The facilities are clean in general. One flip side: the swimming pool is very cool even in the morning, good if there is warm water.

Excellent hotel in an excellent location. The room, facilities and breakfast were all excellent. The pool complex and spa are great and the included print making course was really fun for the 10 year old in our party. Highly recommend.

The staff were excellent—friendly, professional, and always willing to help. A special thanks to the reception team, particularly Susu (苏苏) and Xiao Mo (小末), who went above and beyond to ensure a smooth and pleasant stay. Housekeeping was impeccable, with timely and thorough service. The hotel’s waterfall show was absolutely breathtaking and a definite highlight of our visit. Another fun touch was the occasional food delivery by a robot, which added a unique and modern twist to the experience. Overall, a fantastic stay—highly recommended!

Smell of mould from the old carpet greets you when you enter the main door. Staff must have had bad time trying to get rid of it. In fact at some other main areas, they tried to use bleach. The mould was worst in my room first night. Room attendant ladies are good and I feel for them. The hotel is huge and at convenient location but it is no where near 5 stars. It should be 3 stars. The breakfast is terrible. Sorry I would not c9me back

The hotel is incredibly well located. It is very luxurious, and although a renovation is needed, it offers all kinds of services of a proper 5 star hotel. The staff were also very helpful.

I had a wonderful two-night stay at this hotel in Guilin. The service was exceptional—from the front desk to the coffee shop, and even the housekeeping staff, everyone was warm, attentive, and professional. The hotel made my visit to Guilin even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!
