Hua She International Youth Hostel

Great location and clean but the AC shuts off at 2am and the room is so hot and musty during summer. Kept waking up becos it was so hot and had to cancel my second night as it was simply unbearable. What a waste

I stayed 2 nights there in the 8 beds dorm and the hostel is nice. The host is very hospitable, she will provide all the instructions for reach the hostel and help you if you need it. Also laundry machine is available there. Very near to the north railway station and the city centre is accessible by bus or DiDi I recommend this hostel ! Very good place and price.

Two things only are positive about this place - location and big rooms. Such a putty that a nice place like this with so much potential is not using it! It was freezing cold (colder inside than outside) and they refused to turn on the AC because of electricity bills. No toilet paper (no comment). There was only freezing cold water at the tap (they have even removed the hot tap handles). No explanation on how to get inside, that you need use a chip, I had to ask myself and ask as well for an explanation. No information about the area or what to do, not a social hostel at all. It was relatively clean, but cold and very moist inside the apartment.

This hostel provided what I needed during my stay. The staff answered questions when asked and the common areas served their purpose. My room was clean enough, though not particularly memorable. The location was convenient for getting around, but I wouldn’t call it exceptional. While I didn’t find the atmosphere remarkable, it wasn’t unpleasant either. Overall, it’s a place that met my basic needs without standing out too much.

I arrived early and luckily an early check-in was possible. It’s very close to Guilin North Railway Station, so it’s very convenient. The host is very nice and kind and got a cute dog that will welcome you as well haha The facilities are great, big dorms, clean bathroom and big common rooms. It’s quiet at night and the ac is doing its job! The beds are also quite soft (for China haha) After I left I forgot something, so the host sent me a message and offered to ship it after me which was very kind. 10/10, i would stay here again!
