The accommodation was lovely. It's a small trip in to town. It's possible to rent electric scooters and go in. The room was very spacious, neat and clean. They left a small welcoming gift which was appreciated. There are lots of cool things to see in the resort area, as well as little scenic pathways to walk just next to it. Breakfast was okay. On the second morning it was late and most food had not been prepared yet, even though they said breakfast is served from 7am. Some of us were waiting for the food in order to leave early for our next destination.

The hotel's appearance is indeed grand and beautiful. It has large columns, shiny chandeliers and a huge hall fit for taking a great Instagram photo. The front desk staff welcomed us and quickly checked us in. Our room looked just like the photos, although I think I would have loved a room on the 8th floor more because it seems to have a patio. The rooms were clean but the room for the toilet could do with some dusting. There is an ironing board and iron in the room as well as teabags and a kettle. The location is great to ride a scooter bike to go see the Sun and Moon towers- it takes about 15minutes of riding to get there. You can also ride to see Ronghu Mansion in about 12 minutes. The hotel can arrange private tours or assist you to get on tour groups to see Longji and Yangshuo. We didn't use those options so we took a train from Guilin West railway station to Yangshuo. The ride to the railway station from the hotel took about 30 minutes and from the railway to Yangshuo railway, only 22 minutes at 78¥( in the Business class cabin). Guilin railway station is much closer to the hotel though. We had our laundry done but ensure that you indicate the items you want to get washed because if they do it for you there might be miscalculation which you might have to accept. There was a good variety for breakfast here as well. The dining hall overlooks the swimming pool. It would have been nice to have breakfast or drinks by the pool but they seem to close the pool a bit early and we aren't really allowed to take food outside of the restaurant but it was a good staycation. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I would stay here again. I would definitely stay here again

This hotel is the closest place to Ronghu Lake and Shanhu Lake and close to the urban area. The scenery is first-class at night, and it is very pleasant to take a walk at night! There are also swimming pools that children like. It is estimated that there will be an epidemic this year, and there is no popular situation in the past! The hotel is located by the beautiful Rong Lake, with a superior geographical location. You can enjoy the scenery at any time. The hotel has complete supporting facilities, the lobby and restaurant are elegant and chic, the guest rooms are clean and sanitary, and the service is particularly thoughtful, especially the receptionist Meng Yan at the front desk. She is beautiful and kind, and her warm and thoughtful service made us feel at home. Next time we come, we will stay at Guilin Hotel again. It is cheap and good quality, and it is worth it!

A particularly surprising experience. It was raining lightly on the day of check-in, and the handsome staff member Xiao Xie came out to pick us up in advance despite the rain. He helped carry my luggage along the way. When I checked in, he saw that I was traveling with an elderly person and he thoughtfully helped me upgrade my room for free. The hotel is located in the scenic area and the scenery is great. Although it is slightly inconvenient to get in and out, the experience is very special. The historical stories explained by the lady at the front desk were also very interesting, and the staff were all great👍👍👍

I have never experienced a hotel stay like at the Secret Courtyard Hotel. They treated us with such genuine kindness and consideration. Our every need was taken care of by the owner and his family who run the hotel and we never wanted for anything. I have only the highest recommendation for this hotel for many other reasons also: - It is set in a small riverside village tucked in amongst the beautiful mountains of Guilin. While still easy to access by good roads, the village itself is sheltered from the outside world by a picturesque bridge over the river. - The rooms are all top quality with all the conveniences you could need, plenty of space and great bathroom/shower facilities - There are some really nice tourist attractions within walking distance (2-3km) like the Reed Flute Caves and a very well renovated/preserved bean curd workshop that is really beautifully set on the river. The walking trails are also super well maintained and are filled with great photo opportunities 100%, 10/10, 5 stars, would recommend to anyone, every time - There are really good restaurants in the village (The owner has great recommendations!) - The City of Guilin is quite close, only a 15 minute taxi ride away

Although the hotel is an international hotel in a sense, it feels that the facilities are a bit old. The receptionist retains the visual sense of the guest house in the 1980s (although the service staff is very enthusiastic). After entering the room, the corridor is dilapidated and has a musty smell. After entering the room, it looks the same as on the Internet. But there is the old carpet smell of old furniture, the bedding is slightly damp, and there are stains that are not clean. Hot water is not bad. It was originally scheduled for two nights, but we changed the next day.

The hotel is located in Lujia Village, a small island in Guilin. The environment is very good. The style of the island is a bit like Gulangyu Island, but there are few tourists and it is very quiet (not seeing a few people, to be honest, it is a bit strange). It is a little far from the two rivers and four lakes and other attractions. It takes about 20 minutes to take a taxi. I booked a terrace deluxe room. There is indeed a large terrace. There are tables and chairs on the terrace. If the weather is good, it should be very pleasant to drink a small wine and chat on the terrace, but it rained on the day I went. The terrace was wet (half of the terrace was open-air), and it could not be used. Good nest in the room. The room was small, with two beds, and there was almost no spare place to put luggage, so it was very depressing to stay in the room. In addition, there is a small wall between the two beds, which can be seen between each other. If it is a couple, it is a bit embarrassing. The overall health is not bad, the boss is also very good! Pet-friendly, I took a Labrador, the boss did not dislike and did not charge extra, this makes me very good!

This was my first Guillin experience and I want to say that the hotel had a lot to do with it. The owner of the hotel is very friendly, she gave me a good room, clean, bright and with a view of the mountains. In the morning she took me to try the famous rice noodles, she took me to the restaurant and we could eat together. She also very kindly took care that the flies did not bite me and she gave me medicine to avoid them in my room. at night I sat with her and she invited me to tea; She is aware of everything, it is a very good area and she is the best giving information to travelers, all the time I communicated with her through wechat so she gave me very good information to enjoy my trip. If you want to come to Guillin, I recommend this hotel, you will spend a few very quiet days and enjoy your trip. a hotel that I will return to and recommend 100%. thanks for your kindness and service.
