Pros Coordinator – our wedding coordinator was brilliant from the start; Liz was great in communicating, understanding our needs and providing flexibility and attention to detail to planning. Liz made sure we were consulted every step of the way, was quick at getting back to us, made us feel like everything was in hand and taken care of. The final details were handled well and Liz ensured the team was fully briefed for the big day. Team - the staff did a fantastic job setting up the venue. We provided certain decorations ourselves and the staff did a great job decorating to exact requirements. The operations manager, Lajos, was our coordinator on the day. We were very impressed with him. Lajos was at the venue late the night before and present for the entire wedding day. He checked in on us at every step, without overwhelming us and really made the day flow smoothly and stress free. Everyone knew their roles, the day was well orchestrated and if there were issues on the day, we didn’t know about it. Very happy with Lajos and the team. Hotel – the rooms were beautifully made, especially the honeymoon suite that overlooks the rear of the hotel and the gardens. It made the day even more special. The hotel grounds were immaculate and every guest commended on how beautiful the grounds were. Food – the taster menu was arranged 6-8 weeks prior to the wedding. We made suggestions to the menu and were happy with how the food came out on the wedding day. The canapés, wedding breakfast and evening buffet were delicious, beautifully presented, and the breakfast the following day was superb. Cons Dance Floor - the room allocated to evening dancing, is required to have a proper dance floor, roughly £600. No other venue we visited required a dance floor. Overall, we were given the best possible wedding day.

Excellent service for our conference, one of the team delivered a fresh decaf coffee for each of our breaks after he found out I can't have caffeine. Grounds were beautiful and so peaceful for a morning walk before the conference began. Thanks

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at the Barnett Hill hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome with their warm and friendly service especially Bronwyn who showed exceptional care in the overall experience of all those she interacted with. The hotel itself is beautifully designed whilst also capturing the rich history of the building, the grounds and gardens were lovely. We had booked a full body treatment, Afia was incredible, she was able to locate areas of tension and used her skills to relieve this, she is a true professional of her craft and a lovely person to speak with. The ambiance throughout the hotel is simply charming, creating a perfect balance of elegance and comfort. I felt truly at home here and cannot wait to return. A fantastic experience that exceeded all my expectations!

Absolutely beautiful gem of a hotel nestled in the Surrey hills. Grounds and building are beautiful and well kept. Garden view room was lovely but lacked some basic facilities - fed back on checkout so expect it’ll be sorted out quickly. A request to fix something in the room was dealt with straight away. Food was wonderful, dinner and breakfast. Cocktails weren’t great but bar service was lovely. Had a really enjoyable stay but service in general could be a bit more polished across the board. We will be back!

In my experience the number of hotels in this world who really understnd what it is to run a business offsite workshop are very few. Barnett Hill is a wonderful venue: beautiful gardens, comfortable rooms, wondeeful countryside, lots of meeting room options. But just a venue is not enough... The team at Barnett Hill showed from the start that they are part of that group of hotels who "get it": anticipating what we might need, proactively offering to help, making sure our group was well-fed (onsite and off), fielding requests for taxis - and amazon deliveries! - with infinite patience, all of which is about leaving us to focus on the outcomes we were trying to achieve. Thank you to the team for making my life easier and our outcomes better! As an independent facilitator I would have no hesitation in recommending you to any of my clients.

Not a luxury hotel in the slightest, unless you’re used to travel lodge. It’s unwelcoming, cold and dull. There is no attention to detail, the bar menus are tatty and stained, the furniture in their ‘best room’ is tatty and worn. It looks like the interior designer quit halfway through in about 2013. The decor just doesn’t work. There were no staff, the reception lady doubles up as bar staff and as lovely as she was, doesn’t make cocktails very well. Whole place is very much mediocre. Has the ability to be great if it had some investment, staff and paid attention to the details. It sounds like the management don’t really care. It was great of housekeeping to start hoovering the hallways at 8am on a Sunday, really enhanced the relaxing vibe. Honestly if you’re paying this much, find a real luxury hotel because this place certainly isn’t!

What a find. We hosted our annual sales conference at the hotel and it was a resounding success ! Booking and arranging was a breeze despite changes needing to be made at last minute - thank you Liz. The rooms were fabulous with underfloor heating in the bathrooms and plenty of hot water. The beds were comfy and my room had a gorgeous view across the gardens which were fabulous even in the winter. The conference facilities were faultless and wifi fast and available. The layout of the hotel lends itself wonderfully to a group event and by the end of the week felt like home away from home. The staff were attentive and couldn't do more to help, particularly Zsolt who seemed to constantly be on shift and available for any queries or assistance. F&B from breakfast to breakout tea and cookies to a fabulous dinner ( chicken got a huge thumbs up from all ) it was all delicious and wonderfully presented. Thank you to all at Barnett Hill for a memorable start to the year from SecurityHQ
