My wife and I stayed in a lovely room in the adult’s only Red Level. We were n the first floor corner, and had a Bali-Bed outside our porch that was great. They have the largest infinity poo in all of Europe, and too many other pools to count. The Pangea restaurant was amazing wit it’s varied options or well prepared options, as vegans it was superb. My wife and I caught a bug on our prior trip that became ore symptomatic there, and the staff helped us find a pharmacy and recommended free room service, and later on that day, called our room to check on us and see if we had any needs – twice. Off grounds the black sand beaches and February crashing waves are spectacular. Loved every moment (except the sick part). Wish the Canary Islands were closer to Chicago. The staff are rockstars.

We have been using Red Level as our go to hotel in Tenerife for a decade. It is true that many of the original benefits have been phased out, and the rooms are in need of an update. The customer service and food offering are still good, and value for money. We have Platinum Melia membership which still gives a 20% discount on bookings, but we were not offered a superior room upgrade again which was disappointing. The hotel is pushing Circle membership, which creates a new level above Platinum - having read the reviews on Google, we decided that it was not for us. Finally, the holiday was spoilt by a combination of noise from a nearby building site and lots of biting flies.

The ultimate luxury in a peaceful adult only paradise, overlooking the ocean. With its own heated pool, Red Level lounge with its own restaurant in a beautiful garden, this hotel experience will truly meet all of your expectations. An amazing breakfast is served in an exclusive area, and the staff are always on hand with excellent service. The sunshine was constant and a well received bonus, escaping from the UK.

From arriving to departure we were continually impressed by the hotel. The level of service was excellent throughout our stay. Our room was ocean facing and it was spacious, comfortable and clean. The Red level pool and garden were both very clean and well maintained as was the rest of this huge hotel. It was probably the biggest hotel we have ever stayed in yet it felt personal and was very well designed into different areas that all felt much smaller and great to explore. The restaurants were varied but with plenty of choices to suit all tastes. The Red Level was superb with drinks and nibbles provided throughout the day and afternoon tea at 5pm it was well worth the extra expense. The hotel was exceptionally well run with fantastic staff who were friendly and professional, they went out of their way to make suite you were having the best time. A big shout out to Ray and Jose who were so lovely to us and really made us feel welcome and appreciated. This was a last minute booking to get some sunshine and we thought that a Melia hotel would fit the bill but to be honest we did not expect it to do amazing. Thank you for making our week so full of sunshine in every way, we will definitely return very soon.

An absolutely beautiful hotel. I went with a friend and stayed in the Adults Only Red Level, unfortunately only for 3 days. We both wished we'd had longer!! Everything is catered for, from the glass of Cava on arrival, to the complimentary water & coffee, comfy sunbeds with towels and the beautiful grounds and pools. The rooms were lovely, having everything you needed for your stay right down to the shampoos & body lotions etc. We very much enjoyed the free hour of complimentary drink and food every night too and the staff couldn't be more friendly & helpful. We ate in the Thai Fusion and Italian restaurants and again, couldn't fault it. Food was good and service excellent. We both had a massage at the Spa and I would highly recommend. Well worth the money! Having worked in the industry I can honestly say it was one of the best I've had. The only downside was the evening, having booked Adults Only we found if we wanted an after dinner drink the only option was to sit in the main bar...along with lots of families with children. They were still running about at 10.30/11pm. Not the hotels fault but it would be nice to have an option of an Adults Only evening bar where you don't have to endure over tired children!! All in all I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning very soon. A big thank you to all the staff for making it a memorable stay.

Avoid this hotel like the plague. Its full of black biting flies from the manure on the next door banana plantation, and you'll get bitten to death. The hotel absolutely refuses to pay compensation unless you threaten to sue. The flies get literally everywhere including your bedroom. Avoid.Avoid.Avoid.

We revisited the RedLevel after staying here for our honeymoon in 2016. Another lovely stay overall, staff friendly, junior suite with ocean view/jacuzzi was perfection and we spent each evening here. Nami and Duo restaurants were excellent - agree with other users to book ahead to avoid disappointment with bookings. A few things have changed though, and unfortunately not for the better. 1. Things that used to be included as standard in the RedLevel are now part of the Circle membership (exclusive paid membership which the Melia is heavily pushing - this is the second holiday to the Melia in the last year where staff have come round trying to sell this to us). Some of things we were most excited about to experience again like the special items on the menu like the Chateaubriand and Seabass in the Bistro were not available to us and to circle members only. The restaurant didn’t let us pay the difference in price which seemed strange to upgrade the menu. They did offer 30% off the price but given you’ve already paid for the standard menu seems very odd and unfair so you would end up paying more than what is the price on the menu (standard included plus 70%). This is the same for other restaurants including the Terrasse. The Teppanyaki restaurant was now also not available to us as non-circle (and now circle members get priority on restaurant bookings over the RedLevel) and pool concierge was completely missing (they used to provide suncream, fruit several times, glasses cleaning, drinks etc). Self-service only now from a well stocked up area. It used to be a truly 5 star service and experience, but now seems to be a 4 star (still lovely, but not what it once was). 2. La Terrasse meal. This is Melia’s flagship restaurant and not one to be missed, the presentation was exceptional and very special, except the last course of the tasting menu never arrived which was a sad and disappointing end to the evening. We sat there for over 30 mins waiting for the last course excitedly after the waiter told us about all the food that would be coming and then had to ask what was happening to be told there was none (no forewarning) despite being the 2nd table of the evening seated. It was also a very long meal of nearly 3 hours. At the same time, all attention and service turned to some people we later learned were there to assess the restaurant for their Sol award. We did give feedback to the reception who apologised and said we should have been offered an alternative dessert (probably from one of the other menus being offered). 3. Room service: Garments to be ironed were not taken on two different occasions (despite this being a complimentary service), no turndown anymore etc. Seems that the ‘little’ touches were missing which made it special. One staff member we fed back to said that many guests had made the same observations and they had a lot of complaints - seems the hotel needs to decide what it is and isn’t. RedLevel used to be fantastic, it now feel

Incredible and excellent service done in a relaxed and cosy but very efficient way. Very cheerful, polite and over the top helpful really lovely staff particularly Dieny, Dean and Mohamed. Also very lovely were Clara, Lucas, Enrique, Mario, Lea and many others. Dieny and Dean should get a promotion. They are soooooooo fantastic and made me very at home. I love the atmosphere that all the sweet staff create. The room maids were so nice aswell. High quality all round. Lovely breakfasts. Well done. Highly recommended. I’ll be back! 5 stars. Thank you very much. ❤️♥️ With love and gratitude.
