Logis la Source Bleue

Wonderful Hotel with exquisite rooms and a very tasty cuisine. The staff is very friendly but does not go overboard and totally respects your wish you enjoy the calm. Wonderfully set in the Marne valley, it is must-go for travellers passing throuth this area.

Very comfortable hotel, originally a water mill, with large rooms and balconies in a tranquil setting, overlooking a lake and spacious grounds. At one end of the lake is the 'source bleue', and all their water is drawn from this, including to make their own artisan beer. Dinner and breakfast are served outside on a large terrace in good weather, or in the high-ceilinged dining hall. Dinner was excellent, with a good choice of home-prepared food, and a good wine list (plus their own beer!). Breakfast included cereal, croissants and pastries, ham and cheese and eggs, all freshly made. We would thoroughly recommend it for an overnight or longer stay.

Stayed here on the last night of a recent road trip. The hotel is easy to find and is in a very quiet location. The owners and staff aver very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are very large, very clean, well appointed and very, very quiet. Our room had a nice terrace overlooking a large pond.

We stayed at La Source Bleue overnight en route to The Alps and enjoyed the comfortable rooms and peaceful location.The hotel grounds were truly lovely-beautiful clear lake full of trout and of course the stunning blue source to be discovered.We had an excellent set dinner on the terrace-limited but well thought out choices and perfectly presented although the meal was made a bit stressful by the frequent presence of several wasps(not that this was the hotel’s fault).Service was relaxed and friendly and we were warmly greeted by the owner,Natalie. The only disappointment was breakfast the next morning.We had been asked what time we would like breakfast and had asked for 8.30am which was agreed.It was therefore very disappointing to be told there were no more scrambled eggs available on the buffet when they had run out!The rest of the breakfast was really good with plenty of pastries, cold meats,cheeses,fresh fruit and yoghurts as well as freshly squeezed orange juice but they did let themselves down by refusing to replenish the eggs when requested.This was something highlighted by another reviewer a few years ago and sadly has not been rectified.Given the slightly expensive breakfast charge-16€ -this was not acceptable.A shame as everything else was great!
