We've just concluded a 5 days holiday at the Arrecife Gran Hotel and Spa. Absolutely Amazing from start to finish. I went with my husband as it was our anniversary and his birthday. We arrived at 5pm and was greeted and checked in by Monty. We were offered a glass of prosecco, tea or water, in-between discussions we asked about the best place for our anniversary dinner and Monty suggested Alarz. We booked a table and he called someone to help us take our bags upstairs. We explored the area then retired to the room, only to find a bottle of Prosecco and chocolates waiting for us. I called reception and Monty had it sent upstairs for us to celebrate our anniversary on the hotel. We felt so special and could not be grateful enough. We didn't mention it but it was also my husband birthday a few days later and at our door was a bottle of Prosecco. They must have seen it from his passport and noted it down. Food There are 3 places to eat, Blue17, Alarz and the buffet area. The buffest is where the main food is served. The breakfast was fantastic, there were plenty of choices and very tasty. The area was clean and the server and staff were incredibly attentive and cleared the plates at soon as you wanted another plate. Shout out David and an older gentleman with the back bun. We had dinner on Saturday (Spanish) and Sunday (International) only. Unfortunately this didn't live up to my expectation. The meals seemed quite similar on both days and on Sunday majority of the food were salty so I couldn't have much. As mentioned we booked Alarz for our anniversary dinner however the wagyu was not avaliable and that's the only thing my husband wanted. Reason is they only work with fresh food and the wagyu had not arrived. Thats said the interior was beautiful. I didn't try the blue17, it's a sky bar and the view is amazing. Swimming Pool and Spa The hotel only has an indoor pool however it was nice eand cosy, if you're looking for Olympic pool or a pool with slides they don't have it. There is a bar next to the pool and the cocktails are amazing. I tried the volcanic stone massage for 50 mins. Very similar to a hot stone back massage except for the whole entire body. The massage was fabulous, the lady (forgot her name) did an excellent job making sure I was comfortable. There was an option to have the massage with a Seaview but didn't go for it. All in all I loved it. Room We stayed in the infinity room with a sea view, floor 15. Room looks exactly like the pictures and the space is definitely there. The location of our room meant we also had a view of the mountains, perfect room. Cleaning was done everyday with new towels everyday. The AC worked liked a charm, it was always refreshing to come back to a cool room. Check out was at 12pm, meaning at the front desk and signed out at 12. Not sure if that's exclusively for the infinity room, but it allowed us time to pack and relax before leaving. Location The location was ideal for us (coup
