My girlfriend and I booked the Golden Tulip as the location would provide us with much needed peace and quiet from our hectic lives and we weren't disappointed. On arrival at 03.00 on a Monday morning we were warmly welcomed at Reception and advised that we had been allocated room 106. I had requested a mountain view when making our booking but as most of us have experienced when booking online it can be rather hit and miss. The two of us collapsed straight into bed and when we pulled the curtains back in the Morning we both said the same thing WOW, as the view was simply amazing looking down into the valley some 1000 metres below. Breakfast on the first Morning was rather chaotic with a significant number of people checking out but this was the only time we had to wait to be seated and every Morning there was an excellent selection of food to cover all tastes. On four occasions we eat in the Restaurant for our evening meal and we could not fault the food (buffet) that was on offer for 21 euros and a bottle of red or white could be purchased for 12 euros and every night Nicole's mother made us very welcome. Our days with the exception of the two days when we visited local places of interest were spent around the outdoor swimming pool where there are plenty of sunbeds to choose from and there is absolutely no need to get out of bed at the crack of dawn to go down to the pool to reserve your beds for the day. The coldness of the pool water can be a bit of a shock when you first plunge in but you quickly become accustomed to it. Our room was a large size with a bath/shower, colour TV and a balcony to sit on in the evening to take in the sun going down. It would be remiss of me not to mention in this review two young ladies by the names of Ines Silva & Nicole Correia who manned the Reception along with carrying out a number of other duties who were simply first class when it came to dealing with requests from Deborah and I and we will never forget the part they played in us enjoying a fabulous time at the Golden Tulip which I know we will return to one day.

The location is the best thing about the hotel. Buffet with little offer, breakfast completely full and with several things sold out without new stock. The air conditioning in the room was broken, luckily there were 4 of us and we slept together. It looked like a freezer. We chose the hotel for the indoor pool, but when we got there it was closed. Without previous warning. Pk we were not the only ones to notice this fact. For a 4 star hotel it leaves a lot to be desired. A good act is the team that shows up every day, they do the best they can.

Tirem lhe as estrelas !!! Super degradado, a piscina supostamente aquecida estava Gelada com o ambiente cheio de bolor ( que por si só já é péssimo Para a saúde de quem frequenta o espaço ). O ambiente meio escuro ( esconde a realidade do hotel ) . Quartos frios com aparelhos de ar condicionado minúsculos usados em pequenas casas de banho Vergonhoso ter 4 estrelas . Vale apenas a EXTREMA SIMPATIA do pessoal da recepção…

Daria 5 estrelas tendo em conta a localização, vista, quartos, atendimento do pessoal e boa confecção do restaurante que faz o jantar, mas o hotel tem umas instalações de piscina interior que não são razoáveis para qualquer hotel, muito menos para um de 4 estrelas. A lamentar...

Hotel muito envelhecido. Tem classificação 4 estrelas- mas parece ter ficado esquecido. Não merece atualmente 4*…Precisa de obras e renovação. Quarto: espaçoso mas com carpetes velhas, sujas e manchadas; mobiliário muito antigo e casa de banho limpeza medíocre. Pequeno almoço médio, em sala também antiga. Piscina interior: piscina grande mas a precisar de obras urgentes- sem condições de higiene- tetos partidos e com marcas de infilitracao e humidade nas paredes e tetos! Espaço escuro e frio. Chão muito sujo com bolor e marcas de uso, fundo de piscina com mosaicos em falta…. Não aconselho e muito diferente das fotos na net. Funcionários simpáticos e prestáveis Mas não pretendemos voltar É pena!

Nota-se que o hotel já teve melhores dias. Observando a fachada percebe-se logo a falta de manutenção. A zona dos balneários da piscina interior parece abandonada. É possível aceder à antiga discoteca que está abandonada. Onde está a mesa de ténis de mesa à alcativa já não deve sentir o aspirador há alguns meses. Durante a estadia reparei numa mesa perto da piscina exterior tinha loiças utilizadas por algum cliente e ali permaneceram durante os 3 dias que lá estive. O hotel não é de todo merecedor de 4 estrelas! No dia seguinte (hoje) vim ao hotel Luna em Tabua também de 4 estrelas e é dondia para a noite! Este sim é um hotel cuidado.

Pequeno almoço ok, pouca variedade. Preço elevado para o serviço prestado Piscina interior fria, se é para estar fria, não digam que têm piscina aquecida no verão... Todo o local da piscina interior tinha imensa humidade, na verdade parecia um local abandonado. Foi a minha segunda vez neste hotel, a primeira experiência foi sem dúvida superior a esta. A piscina exterior tem pouco espaço e espreguiçadeiras para a quantidade de hóspedes, entende-se que não é hotel de verão, mas podia melhorar o espaço exterior e torná-lo com mais espaço. Funcionários imensamente simpáticos, as cinco estrelas vão para eles. E as três estrelas dadas a esta avaliação é por eles. Se não seriam apenas duas.

Não se justifica ser um 4 estrelas. O único em conta foi a simpatia do staff e as refeições (pequeno almoço e jantar(buffet)). Hotel muito desagradado (em certos locais cheira a mofo), sem qualquer interesse por parte da gerência em fazer uma recuperação ao local. Piscina interior; para o tamanho que tem e sendo um local com história, poderia ter jactos de banho(visto que é so para uso de quem saiba nadar); piscina exterior pequena para a altura que é e não carece de espaço para todos (uma vez que parte das pessoas ficam horas a fio no local e não têm respeito pelos restantes hóspedes). Desiludiu me pelo facto de não terem em conta a minha reserva(reserva essa que fiz antecipadamente 2 meses); uma vez que pedi quarto de casal, fiquei em quarto de camas separadas (valeu apenas pelas vistas as montanhas e nada mais); camas desconfortáveis e com algumas falhas na limpeza. Não voltarei a repetir e nem aconselho

Um óptimo fim-de-semana! Já conhecia o hotel há muitos anos atrás e tinha uma boa recordação, confirmei! O hotel tem uma localização excepcional com uma paisagem soberba! Os quartos são belíssimos, TODOS os colaboradores são simpáticos e eficientes, o restaurante também é bom e os preços (hotel e restaurante) muito acessíveis. ADOREI!
