Fabulous historic hotel in the center of the beautiful YueXiu district. Rooms are huge, staff is efficient, speaks English, and very polite. Rooms have high ceilings, huge windows and very well decorated in a classic but super comfortable classical China style. Yuexiu Park metro station is 5 min walk, and next door is a Starbucks and McDonalds. Across the street is a new mall with lots of Chinese restaurants. It’s also about a 10 minute walk from Guangzhou’s famous clothing wholesale markets. Hotel lobby is huge and totally fabulous! Staying here makes you feel like you are living a life of luxury, but still at a reasonable price. One thing I would tell the staff to improve : showers need to be scrubbed better because any mold in the shower is unacceptable, even a little. This is a common problem in China, different standards than western cultures I guess. Otherwise, this is the place to stay. Standard Rooms here are a lot larger than at the China Hotel next door, and usually rooms rates for both properties are similar. Why not stay at Dong Fang and get a nicer room for the same price ?

Asia international hotel, This is the place to stay if you want a real feel for the warmth & charm of Rome & its people instead of a cold impersonal hotel. They speak very good English and their breakfast & coffee are excellent and will accommodate any request if possible. Excellent location, superb services, helpful staff, waht else do you need? Will definitely come again to this place. Very satisfied with the cleanliness of the hotel, the size of the room, the helpfulness of the staff at the front desk (all of them during our stay), they even go out of their way to guide you through the places to visit in Rome. The breakfast was to our expectation. The area is central even if one wishes to walk around. The only thing is that the room is hot, does not have enough light and no air comes in even if you open the window as it is sourrounded by buildings.

Front Desk staff is top service, housekeeping lady that clean my room, thank you so much for the hand writing note.Concierge staff, doesn’t feel like helping traveller like us. I want to thank front desk for helping me and assisting on my request. Here are the major negative thing that i personally feel 1. Centralized A/C which is too hot even though i have switch to the lowest degree with cool high air. 2. Window too dusty as i was told to open the window if is too hot and stuffy 3. Shower top needs to change as the rubber tip turn brownish and water shooting from different direction 4. Breakfast expenses need to pay on the spot and not able to settle upon departure 5. Lift is alittle scary to me even though is safe. The lift have not completely stop and the door open. Overall, staffs is good but hotel is kinda old.

The economic growth in Guangzhou, Guangdong in recent years has promoted the general improvement of the living environment. On the west side of the hotel, separated by a wall, is the provincial government. Surrounded by surveillance cameras and guards. The surrounding environment is 6 stars! A few hundred meters to the west of the hotel is the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, a few hundred meters to the northwest is Yuexiu Park, Zhenhai Tower, Wuyang Statue and Yuexiu Mountain Stadium. A few hundred meters to the south of the overpass is the Beijing Road Pedestrian Street area, which is convenient for travel and leisure. But not noisy or crowded. 🤪🤪The following is my personal opinion: 1. There is no elevator in the basement. 🤣🤣Guests need to carry their suitcases and go up the stairs to the lobby. Unfortunately, I parked at B2 and was shocked to find that I had to carry my suitcase up two and a half flights of stairs! Looks like it's only suitable for people traveling with a driver and secretary. Hey, I remembered that this is the provincial government guest house! 2. The breakfast buffet is only 3-star level. Hope to at least switch to a freshly ground coffee machine. It feels like they are not used to receiving individual travelers for leisure travel. 3. It is hoped that the front desk can provide more convenient and considerate services to ordinary leisure tourists who are not public servants.

I went to Guangzhou on business and chose this hotel because of the good reviews. The hotel is near the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall and has its own small parking lot, which costs 40 yuan/24 hours. The room I stayed in was not big, but the hygiene was good. The room lighting and bed curtains were all one-button electronically controlled. The bed is very comfortable, a thumbs up. The front desk service attitude is very good, warm and polite. I will stay here again next time I come. After exiting the hotel, turn right and then turn right again. There is a Xidianhui Tea Restaurant about 200 meters away. The morning tea is very good. Locals dine there. Those who want to experience the local morning tea culture can go there.

It took about 10min for me and my family to get there on foot, however there's no lift or elevator in the metro station (Exit A) which we are struggling to bring the luggages with us. The location of the hotel is good as it's right next to Yuexiu park and opposite Nanyue King Museum. The check in process is quite smooth, the staffs are helpful and approachable. The room is spacious and clean. The light, aircon, TV automatically switched on when we entered the room. We can choose the brightness of the light base on our need from 0%-100%. The food delivery robot is something I have never seen in other hotels, it should be a plus point, however as it's programmed in a way that you have to let the robot to enter and leave the lift before you. There's one time that we have experienced a congestion in the lift area when both food delivery robots blocked the pathway. One other concern we are facing is the Central aircon system, the weather gets cold but the room that we stay is pretty warm as the whole building changes to the heating mode. We have to open the window to wait for the room to cool down. Plus point of the hotel is we are able to deposit our luggage in the hotel for free of charge as our flight is during midnight hour. Overall it's a nice stay in the hotel.
