Hotels in Beijing Road Pedestrian Street and Haizhu Square, Guangzhou

I had a fantastic stay at the Mercure Beijing Road! The service was truly wonderful. I was particularly impressed when the staff proactively reached out to confirm on my check in (my flight arrived in Guangzhou at midnight) and ensure a room was reserved. They are incredibly meticulous, housekeeping noted my usage and kept supplies perfectly replenished daily. Highly recommended!

If I could rate from no. 1 to 3, it would be their location as No. 1; room size for a Biz Double type & laminate floors are No. 2 & cleanliness as No. 3. Only issue I had was my room request for the 2 rooms I booked for 6 nites, to be far from the elevators & they gave me the opposite so I assume they did a bad translation which resulted in them giving me 2 rooms nearest to the elevator!! I guess if you put in a Mandarin written request, perhaps this would not have happened. Other than this, I am happy with this hotel but note that entrance is best via The Mercure lobby - there is a handicap slope outside this lobby all the way pass Chagee/Macdonalds onto the street so you can ask your airport transfer to stop after the traffic lights. When I arrived at 1.30 am, I literally carried my 39inch luggage over to the Mercure lobby without realizing there is that handicap slope at the side cos the driver stopped me before the main traffic lights. The famous Bao Shi fu & the Guangzhou guangsi hand cream shop are nearby this hotel along with so many Michelin bib eateries.

It is an average apartment hotel.  Location is close to metro and needs better directions to find it.  Tucked behind some building.  Breakfast starts at 7:30 am which is kind of late - average food.  You can hear the people next door talking as the wall didn’t fully separate the two units (small gap near the window).  The air conditioner was excellent but the unit blows air directly onto the bed which was annoying.  Check out is 2:00 pm which was nice.

Hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. Collected all our Taobao parcels for us everyday and even arranged a quieter room for us! 2nd time staying here and will definitely choose this hotel again when in Guangzhou! Very near to Beijing Road too

Pros: Is a boutique hotel only at level 4. Location is good, everyday can walk to Beijing road pedestrian street walking distance to eat famous taotaoju, xiesanbao, pigeo, bakery 鲍师父, drink luckin coffee, ice cream and many more , ohhh ya Singapore bkt just right at the hotel ground floor. Front desk staffs are all very friendly and helpful👍 Toilet bowl is heated toilet seat, come with bidet too. Shower water pressure is power. Bed very comfy soft hard Juz nice for me, voice command for drawing curtain, turn on off tv and lights Cons: the hotel is hide inside a small lane, you will not able to see from the main road. We were asked to drop off along the main road and push our luggages in. no proper drop off point at the front of the hotel and no ramp. Need to carry your luggage’s up down for the 2 steps staircase. If you take DiDi usually the driver will wait you along the main road need to walkout. Unless u ask to turn in. Room door no sound proof. So be prepared early morning the cleaner or people will make some noises along the corridor. Pay for city view, but end up is opp resident view😅 need to draw curtains all times.

This was my first time staying here. The hotel is ideally located near Tianzi Pier, right by the Pearl River, offering fantastic views. The front desk is on the 5th floor, and they offer a delightful fruit tea. Overall, my experience was excellent. There's a Hui'ai Restaurant nearby that's famous for its chicken, and their poached chicken is definitely worth trying.

Stayed for 5 days at this hotel and I really had a wonderful experience. Pros - convenient location. near Xiaobei metro exit B, near halal restaurants - staffs are very friendly, helpful - room will be cleaned everyday, got free water daily - room is very warm, got bidet too - hotel located right beside a flyover highway (when raining, you can still wait for taxi/didi outside the hotel) - available self service washing machine, steam iron Cons - you will hear loud honking even late at night or early morning (im at 11th floor but still hear the noise)

The hotel is within a kim Bai Lai building. The building and lift is not well maintained. But the hotel room is spacious and clean. This hotel is good value for money. It’s next to Beijing pedestrian street and Beijing Lu Metro station. The hotel provides breakfast, snacks and supper. During rainy days, they also lend yoy umbrellas. The service and attitude is very commendable. Worth the stay!

Location is great! Just a short walk from Beijing Pedestrian Street, surrounded by plenty of food options, so you’ll never go hungry! The only downside was the shower heater in both rooms — the temperature wasn’t consistent, sometimes too hot and sometimes too cold. During checkout, the front desk helped us book transport to the airport for CNY 280, and the ride took about 45–50 minutes. Overall, a pleasant stay. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This hotel looks exactly as advertised. We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the hotel was clean and well-maintained. There is free laundry and robot delivered takeaways from food delivery. The modern facilities had everything we needed, and the location was great – within walking distance to famous BeiJing Road.
