Extraordinary hotel. Great value for money. Perhaps somewhat out of the way if the center of Guangzhou is considered the area around Canton Tower. However, there is a subway stop nearby (line 8).

the room is clean and tidy, the buffet breakfast taste very good, staffs at the counter and restaurant are professional and polite and helpful.

Modern and close to the river and the exhibition centre. Plenty of facilities to use such as a big gym with latest equipment a great indoor pool and a spa if you so desire. Staff were very helpful when I had a problem with my booking. They upgraded my experience for dinner at the excellent CHAR bar & grill. They really looked after myself and my wife and made our stay pleasant and relaxing.

I was there for a night and a few hours during the day. The staff was very kind and helpful and they spoke English making it easy for me to voice my needs. The breakfast was very nice and there was lots of choices.
The hotel is very clean and the rooms are beautiful and well kept. It was a great experience.

Overall, I was very satisfied with the stay. The room was clean and hygienic. The hotel's gym and swimming pool were also great. The housekeeper Lee, who I contacted before check-in, was very good and considerate. The presence of the housekeeper made many things much more convenient. It was my first time staying at InterContinental Guangzhou. My first impression was that Poly was very generous. The lobby was the largest among all the hotels I stayed in. The check-in experience was very good. Although the air conditioning in the room I was initially assigned had some issues, the housekeeper Lee quickly coordinated and resolved the issue. He also helped me upgrade to a suite and applied for a late check-out, which made the next day's trip easier. I hope that the opposite side of the river will have developed by the time I come next time.
