They were just being overbearing, using the "no cancellations" rule as a pretext. When I went to the front desk, they told me I couldn't cancel and book again. Were they afraid I'd cancel for free and then run away? The toilet wouldn't flush, and I had to reach into the toilet to press the flush button. As a hotelier myself, I'm not without their concerns.
