DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!
I had been looking forward to my trip to the Canton Fair for months. Everything looked perfect in the photos of Yihe Apartments, so I booked 14 nights. Check-in was at 2:00 PM.
After a 13-hour journey, we arrived a bit early and waited patiently. By 4:00 PM, the apartment still wasn’t ready — we literally saw the owner and her assistant carrying a couch into the unit.
When we were finally allowed in, I was shocked. The bathroom was filthy, the walls were dirty, and there was an exposed electrical socket with wires hanging out. The kitchen had greasy pans covered in burnt-on oil, and the bed didn’t even have a proper mattress — just a rock-hard topper. To top it off, there were no towels. When I asked, they gave me paper-thin disposable towels — absolutely not worth a cent, let alone the price I paid.
As a business traveler, peace and comfort after a long workday is essential. I told them I wouldn’t discuss it further — I was leaving and demanded my money back: €1350 for 14 nights, nearly €100 per night.
At checkout, the owner was incredibly rude, walking away mid-conversation. They claimed they had a no-cancellation policy, and Trip.com backed them up without resolution.
I feel completely scammed. This is a disgrace to the hardworking people of Guangzhou who take hospitality seriously. Providers like this should be removed from platforms like Trip.com.

Worst hotel room that I have ever booked! It's nothing like images on the listing. I have never seen such a dirty room ever in my life. The hotel receptionist walked us to another tower and took us to our room. She talked with us using three phones that she had in her hands. When she opened the room my jaw literally dropped! Wet floor from leaking pipes, mold and rust everywhere, dead insects and dirty bed. The pictures tell the story.. And the worst part was that when I pointed out that this was nothing like what was advertised on trip.com listing then the hotels employee phone suddenly was out of battery and she just walked away. We asked for a refund but the denied. The customer support from trip.com was really good. After 5 hours of waiting we got 50% refunded from the hotel and trip.com gave us coins for the rest.

The sanitation is really good. The room is clean and spotless. The bathroom has no odor at all. The toiletries are neatly arranged. It really touches my heart.
