Four Points by Sheraton Guangzhou, Baiyun

The hotel is located right next to Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area, with CapitaLand Mall and a children's playground nearby, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing, leisure, and shopping. The hotel boasts an elegant and serene environment, designed in a Lingnan garden architectural style, making it a pleasant place for a stroll, whether you're here for business or leisure. The lobby is spacious and grand, and the welcoming staff are very warm and attentive. The rooms are spacious and spotless, with a well-designed and functional layout. They are also very quiet. We especially appreciated that the front desk even went out of their way to upgrade our room type. In the evenings, there's live band entertainment to enjoy. The breakfast spread is extensive and delicious. Overall, it's an excellent choice for both business and leisure travelers.

The room was spotlessly clean and spacious, with a well-designed bathroom featuring separate wet and dry areas, and a logical layout of functional zones for convenience. The soft ambient lighting was pleasant, and it was a thoughtful touch that the air conditioning was already running when we checked in. What impressed me most was the ample supply of hangers – a truly nice detail! The lobby cleverly integrates dining, entertainment, and leisure facilities, making it ideal for both business trips and short stays. Highly recommended!

1. While it appears to be a relatively new hotel (perhaps built/renovated in the last two years), the decor, lighting, and overall layout are incredibly generic. Furthermore, the light fixture by the sofa was dangerously wobbly. To make matters worse, our window faced directly onto another hotel building, forcing us to keep the curtains drawn at all times. This was incredibly stifling (the last photo clearly shows a direct view into rooms, card rooms, and offices of the opposite building)! 2. All the in-room disposables – shampoo, shower gel, slippers, and bathrobes – felt like cheap, low-grade bulk items, probably from a wholesale market. They weren't customized and lacked any branding, which made me very hesitant to use them. It was genuinely subpar. 3. Every trash can in the room didn't even have a liner inside. Absolutely ridiculous! 4. The bedside tables were an absolute joke – just flimsy metal frames with zero quality or aesthetic appeal. What on earth were they thinking? 5. Even the hotel room key cards and coasters were plastered with beer advertisements. They seriously need to put some thought and effort into their guest experience! For a supposed mid-to-high-end brand like Sheraton, this is incredibly damaging to their reputation. My two-night stay was an absolute ordeal, and I will definitely not be returning. The only minor redeeming quality was the breakfast's 'buy one get one free' offer for adults. At roughly 60 RMB per person, the variety was decent, and the dining environment was pleasant.

We stayed at this hotel near our home due to renovations. It's conveniently located next to a Marriott, and both properties are under the same management. One afternoon, it started raining, and despite several attempts, the kids couldn't use the pool. Luckily, the staff informed us we could use the Marriott's indoor heated pool, and we were even kindly escorted there by enthusiastic team members. Our room was on the 10th floor, offering an excellent view and a very comfortable environment for both work and relaxation. The only minor drawbacks were the limited children's play facilities, the gym equipment being restricted to guests aged 16 and above, and the billiards table on the first floor often had a queue. Overall, it was still a very pleasant stay.
