Fabulous historic hotel in the center of the beautiful YueXiu district. Rooms are huge, staff is efficient, speaks English, and very polite. Rooms have high ceilings, huge windows and very well decorated in a classic but super comfortable classical China style. Yuexiu Park metro station is 5 min walk, and next door is a Starbucks and McDonalds. Across the street is a new mall with lots of Chinese restaurants. It’s also about a 10 minute walk from Guangzhou’s famous clothing wholesale markets. Hotel lobby is huge and totally fabulous! Staying here makes you feel like you are living a life of luxury, but still at a reasonable price. One thing I would tell the staff to improve : showers need to be scrubbed better because any mold in the shower is unacceptable, even a little. This is a common problem in China, different standards than western cultures I guess. Otherwise, this is the place to stay. Standard Rooms here are a lot larger than at the China Hotel next door, and usually rooms rates for both properties are similar. Why not stay at Dong Fang and get a nicer room for the same price ?

Great hotel, really good quality price ratio. Very conveniently located close to Yuexiu Park and the metro station for Line 2. Close to Guangzhou Train Station South. Great buffet breakfast at the Veranda Cafe. And if you're in the mood for fast food there is a Burger King, Starbucks and a Domino's in the same block. I will book this hotel again if I'm back on GZ.

First of all, I would like to praise all the service staff, especially the duty manager Peter, who communicated with me about the housing needs before my mother and I checked in, fully understood the core needs of the residents, and made arrangements that moved the customers. It was very considerate. The hotel has a great location and the decoration is elegant and dignified. We are traveling. The station in front of the hotel is connected in all directions. We can reach many famous attractions without even needing a subway. The room is designed according to the specifications of a hotel apartment, and is equipped with a washing machine, microwave oven, dishwasher, kettle, and coffee machine. I live in a suite, and the washing machine has a drying function. In Guangzhou, which is hot and hot, it is very convenient for me, who has to wash and dry clothes every day. The hairdryer is from Dyson, and the room is thoughtfully equipped with electric mosquito coils and a steam ironing machine. You can feel that the staff want to make guests feel at home. There are plenty of USB charging sockets in the room, which is convenient and user-friendly. There is PILLOW MENU where you can choose the pillow that suits you. Got an upgrade in parent/child room on 35th floor It looked fully renovated, fresh scent and carpet smell. My room was very big and clean and looked like I was the first one to use it. It had that fresh smell They could change the breakfast times to times and add more options for halal/muslims customers. Overall they have a lot of options in breakfast too Cleaning was spot on and location is very near to all restaurants and shops. Multiple Canton Fair shuttle a day to pick you up and drop you back to hotel Swimming and gym was also very nice I would use it again for sure but only if it’s 35th floor and above

Front Desk staff is top service, housekeeping lady that clean my room, thank you so much for the hand writing note.Concierge staff, doesn’t feel like helping traveller like us. I want to thank front desk for helping me and assisting on my request. Here are the major negative thing that i personally feel 1. Centralized A/C which is too hot even though i have switch to the lowest degree with cool high air. 2. Window too dusty as i was told to open the window if is too hot and stuffy 3. Shower top needs to change as the rubber tip turn brownish and water shooting from different direction 4. Breakfast expenses need to pay on the spot and not able to settle upon departure 5. Lift is alittle scary to me even though is safe. The lift have not completely stop and the door open. Overall, staffs is good but hotel is kinda old.

The location is good and the transportation is convenient. You can get to the subway station in a few minutes. We chose the hotel to go to the Guangzhou Zoo. There is a free parking lot, which can be exempted until 2 pm. If you exceed , you have to pay more. You have saved a lot of parking fees. Self-service The breakfast was better than expected. Overall, the price/performance ratio is quite high. The overall hotel environment is also good.

This hotel is in perfect location alot of small shops where everything is convenient. Highly recommend it. I booked one night and walked around near by this one just a stoop and go night. If your Guangzhou and need a place to stay go ahead and book this place. Also it's about 30 minutes walk to Xiao lu 小北， 小路。whichever you call it.

A very satisfying experience, boutique hotel. The toilet, hairdryer, and shower are easy to use and clean. The bedding is comfortable to sleep on. The key is good sound insulation and considerate service. It deserves praise! Snacks, drinks, desserts, and fruits are abundant and varied in the lobby. The key is that they are free. The transportation is convenient, with two subway exits. Beijing Pedestrian Street, Memorial Hall, Yuexiu Park, Nanyue King Museum are just a few minutes’ walk away. The front desk service attitude is very good, warm and polite. I will stay here again next time I come. After exiting the hotel, turn right and then turn right again. There is a Xidianhui Tea Restaurant about 200 meters away. The morning tea is very good. Locals dine there. Those who want to experience the local morning tea culture can go there.

Hands down the best hotel one can find at this price range, I booked for two days but ended up extended another two. Here is the list of things I truly appreciate: Attention to details : from coffee (I love their Yunnan coffee! to comfortable disposable slippers to awesome pillows , marvellous TV wallpaper) Technology : Xiaodu voice controlling of light, TV and curtains - I can't get enough talking to xiaoduxiaodu :D Location: just outside of xihua lu where u get best food in Guangzhou Shower: Great shampoo and shower gel and super good water pressure! This is the second time I have booked this hotel, and I am not disappointed at all. It is the Guangxi office in Guangzhou, and all the equipment and environment are very good. Cheaper than other hotels with similar conditions, very cost-effective. The experience was good. This time the room also had wooden floors. The washbasin in the bathroom was two meters long and was very comfortable.
