This was the perfect hotel to stay if you don't want to be right in Salzburg. Such an easy/relaxing bus ride to town yet you can sleep/eat in cute little village. All staff super nice and helpful. Rooms very clean, nice bathrooms. Breakfast was very nice with variety. Thank you!!

Everything was exceptional. The room was lovely - modern yet cozy. Excellent quality throughout. Very comfortable bed and bedding. Even though it was cool and rainy outside, the blankets provided allowed us to enjoy the view from the balcony. The breakfast buffet was varied and tasty. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We felt very welcome. The neighborhood is pretty and quiet. The bus connections to Salzburg are easy.

The Hotel Sallerhof was simply marvelous. From the easy check-in to friendly staff to the private parking area, our arrival was perfect. The room was beautiful and had everything we needed. Shower had great pressure, bed was amazingly comfortable. Since the building is tucked back from the street, it was very quiet. Breakfast was in a large, comfortable room, and was self-serve. Overall, an excellent stay, and we will be sure to stay again when we return to Salzburg someday.

Perfect place to visit outside of Salzburg. Bus system was easy to navigate and close; we didn't have to worry about parking. Close to all the sites. This was our home base for 2 weeks and each morning we looked forward to a delicious breakfast to start the day. At the end of the day we enjoyed a glass of wine on our patio overlooking the magnificent scenery. We have stayed here several times since I was a teenager and it gets better and better each passing decade. Extremely clean and modern. We plan to come again.

We stayed for two nights at Hotel Sallerhof as a base for our visits to Salzburg and Berchtesgaden/Eagle’s Nest/Konigssee. The #5 bus is less than a block away and so convenient to get to and from Salzburg. The rooms are modern, comfortable and beautiful; the breakfast can’t be beat; and the hosts are most accommodating. I recommend this hotel wholeheartedly.

Hotel Sallerhof is located in a wonderful location surrounded by mountains and you can get a nice view from your balcony. The room was clean and the service is very good. The breakfast is rich and healthy. The hotel is run by a couple who were always willing to help and were really nice people. I recommend any one visiting Salzburg to have their stay at this beautiful hotel. -Vidya

We stayed at the Sallerhof for 4 nights and had a ground floor room, looking onto the gardens. The room was beautiful and spacious. The wc and separate wet room shower were an excellent size. The room had a very comfortable sofa. The door into the garden was'tilt and turn' and there was also a net door, so there was no problem with insects. There was comfortable seating in the garden too. Breakfast was served in a large bright room with beech furniture and smart table linen. There was plenty of choice available and freshly cooked eggs were offered. The hotel is easily accessible from the motorway and the buses into and out of Salzburg worked well. Altogether we had a 100%positive experience in this hotel and would heartily recommend it.

This might be one of our favorite places we've ever stayed. It was an adorable country inn-type of place but also kind of upscale. The rooms on the first floor are modern and have AC (and it actually worked!!) and a little patio. The breakfast buffet was incredible, best we've seen anywhere. Grödig is a sleepy little town, not much for dinner options, but it was worth staying there for this hotel. It's also a great location in terms of being between Salzburg and Berchtesgaden (each about 15-20 minutes away). Highly recommend.

This fabulous little hotel is located beneath a beautiful mountain. If that isn’t a reason to go there then hotel itself is. This hotel is family owned and operated but it is run like a five star exclusive hotel chain. I had to ask who decorated the hotel because everywhere you look is something charming and unique. I thought the owners was going to say some famous designer instead he said his wife. This woman has such a talent I had to take pictures to show my family. The hotel is unbelievably clean you could eat off the floors. I have travelled around the world and I have to say that was my favourite hotel ever. I also have to mention the breakfast. It is fresh, delicious and changes everyday. If you visit Salzburg I highly recommend staying at Garden-Hotel Sallerhof.
