3-Star Hotels in Grindelwald

This is probably one of the 3 best hotels we have stayed in our recent Europe trip, the 2nd hotel we have stayed in Switzerland. We stayed here for 2 nights. To begin with, there are 2 hotels under this group and they are located on the opposite of the road, one is Jungfrau Hotel and the other Jungfrau Lodge. The former, I believe is the main but older with vintage designed, kind of cottages whereas the one we were staying were more modern, like an apartment building. However, the main reception is at the former (including the restaurant where breakfast is served). On our side, no facilities and entering is by access card and there's a lift (but the other one had no lift). Our room (314) is compact but cosy with a balcony. It's clean too. Outside the balcony, we were exposed to mother's nature! The top snow mountains, greenery with cottage houses and villages were right in front of us! It's amazing and scenic! There are chairs and table here and imagine you can enjoy your wine with snacks while enjoying the beautiful scenery! The beds were comfortable and there's a bathtub in the toilet. The only thing was that the water was not hot enough. There's no aircon or kettle, but you can get the hot water from the reception, located at the main hotel opposite the road. The breakfast was decent and quite good and besides those food items on display, you can also order additional items like special latte or cappuccino, scrambled eggs with sausages etc. They were yummy and staff was friendly and polite. The room service was well done and things used were replenished and arranged neatly. It's a wonderful and great stay here and trust me, with the scenery, it's all worth it!

Very convenience hotel just infront of the grindlewald train station, highly recommend for the who want get easy access to train station! Hotel room with eiger peak view was awsome and the breakfast selection of food is great !

We stayed in the gallery apt 10 which was the perfect size for our family. The hotel is located close to the train station and in the heart of everything. The apartments are actually in the building behind the hotel but we thought that worked out better than being on the main street. The staff was always nice. The breakfast was the same everyday but that was okay with us because we just wanted to eat quickly to get to our adventures! Now here are the pros and cons in our opinion! Pros: -ABSOLUTELY AMAZING VIEW FROM THIS APARTMENT 10! We sat outside on our balcony every evening and just marveled at the beauty of the mountains. -Love the balcony -Having the small kitchen was very nice especially to go to COOP and get some food, drinks, snacks - Breakfast included - Bathroom was nice - Apartment was clean Cons: - There is no air conditioning so if it's warm then you must keep the windows open. Unfortunately, you do hear noise from the hotel restaurants nearby. However, everything seems to quiet down by 10:30. - Our son ended up sleeping in the bed upstairs because my husband and I were very concerned about going up/down the stairs inside the apartment. They were unusually shaped. I would definitely recommend staying here especially in the apartments.

Wir haben spät gebucht und das verfügbare Angebot an Zimmern war an einem Wochenende in der Hochsaison sehr beschränkt. Wir haben zu unserer Freude noch ein Zimmer erhalten und alles hat wie abgemacht bestens geklappt (Zusatzbett im Zimmer, Parkplatz reserviert). Also dürfen wir uns nicht beklagen, insbesondere weil die Sauberkeit sehr gut, das Bett bequem und das Bad gross waren. Alles klappte bestens wie vereinbart. Die Einrichtung war etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Wirklich enttäuscht waren wir über die Aussicht an eine hohe Wand und eine rostige Schubkarre direkt vor dem Zimmer für einen doch recht stolzen Preis, insbesondere weil wir eine Aussicht auf den Eiger oder zumindest das nächste Haus erwartet hätten. Auch das Flair entsprach eher einem Stadthotel in London als einem Berghotel in Grindelwald.

We enjoyed our stay with Bernerhof Hotel very much. Location is very convenient, only 5 mins walk from train station. And another 5 mins to Coop supermarket, which is good for all kind of vital purchases. Having the view of Eiger at the front of the hotel is definitely a huge bonus for anyone who wants great photo opportunity. Of course, that also must depends on the weather. There are lots of shops and restaurants nearby, and all are within walking distance from the hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful, attend to our request promptly. The breakfast though not lavish but it served our needs, and my wife loves the croissant there. Overall we are happy with our experience.

It’s not too close to the station, but it’s not too far, but you have to go up the slope to find out that there is a shuttle service. There is a car, free breakfast, and a lovely wooden hotel with a warm interior. The hotel is being renovated room by room, but I happened to be assigned an old, undecorated room, so I can't say enough right now. may have been renovated by the time you move in, so it will no longer be a deficiency. There is no refrigerator and no hot water. Shampoo is only given to each person in a small pack, but when we stayed for two days, it was not enough. I tried to go downstairs for two days hoping to get two more sachets of shampoo, but no one paid attention to me. I went to the restaurant to look for them because the clerk had to take care of the restaurant work, and there were too many customers and they were too busy and had a bad attitude. They called me. I stand here waiting for 5 minutes, but I don’t have the patience to wait at all. The next morning I wanted to get shampoo and the situation was still the same. Finally, I can’t wash my hair Breakfast is good, the dining table has been set up in advance, the breakfast area is elegantly decorated, warm and cozy, you can try Swiss-style ham and omelettes, it is really sincere, I give it full marks for breakfast Some of the waiters have very good attitudes, but some are really impatient, and the quality of individual staff varies  , the location is very good and it should get a higher score. Overall, I give it 3.5 to 4 points. If you get a newly renovated room, the score will be higher. As for the attitude of the staff. There were one or two of them, and the others were all very enthusiastic, especially an older woman, who was worried that we didn't have enough eggs and said she could give them more. In short, the staff are very different, so it is difficult for me to make a conclusion about this hotel.

This us a small lovely hotel situated a up a hill from the main street through Grindlewald. It is not fancy but my husband and I had a marvelous, clean, spacious and quiet 2 room suite with unbelievably beautiful mountain views. We felt like we're staying in a Christmas village swiss chalet. The staff was efficient and friendly. The breakfast was not extensive and, although I would have loved some hot entrees, there was enough to start your day. Be aware that it is a steep walk from the train station and the main street up to the hotel. We drove and there was free parking but the train station is close by. There is a guest laundry on site that has an hourly fee to use.

Get off at the Grinderwald train station, then take bus 121 or 122, and then push the luggage up a slope. The B&B is halfway up the slope. We were too tired, so we got off the bus and called the boss to pick us up. The shuttle fee was 10 francs for a short 2-minute round trip. I was so sad~~~ There are really beautiful views everywhere, the B&B environment and breakfast are good There are many Asians staying here.

This is a really nice hostel consisting of 2 buildings. The double rooms are in a separate building, which means it is nice and quiet there away from the groups. The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet is great, better than what is offered in some of the less expensive hotels. We had dinner once as well, which was very tasty and good value for money. You can enjoy the sun on the patio. plenty of seating outside and a ”Grillplatz” as well. All in all we had a great stay in this hostel.

We are staying in Grindelwald for a couple of days and we spent one night in this hotel. The location is a bit far away from the train station and it’s exhausting to carry heavy luggage over the slopes between station and hotel. The price is reasonable and the balcony view of Eiger is stunning. The hotel looks quite old where no ventilation system can be found in washroom. Wi-Fi signal is poor and we were unable to connect it in the room. We appreciate the breakfast as the food quality is good but seems the number of staff is limited. They are required to work in the reception for check in/out enquiries and at the same time busy rushing to the breakfast area to clean up the tables and food.
