We booked for six people to celebrate two birthdays (3 suites and a dinner): Unfortunately, our one-night stay, which cost us over €2,000, turned out to be very mixed: Positive points: - Beautifully restored hotel with beautiful materials and special attention to detail. - Very beautiful garden and pool area. - High-quality private spa area. - High-quality dinner dishes (although I have very reservations about the combination of ingredients for the goat cheese and fruit dessert, which is a current trend in many restaurants). - Very good advice from the sommelier on the choice of wines. Negative points (to be corrected very quickly): - No special attention paid to birthdays, even though this had been confirmed by email. - No consideration of the request for a suite with two separate beds, even though this had been confirmed by email. - No water bottles in one of the suites. - No "pilot in the plane"! Organizational problems, especially in the dining room: Mainly junior staff, willing but seriously lacking in experience and supervision (examples: vegetarian soup served without spoons, forcing customers to get up to get their own cutlery because the waiters were not attentive; breakfast drinks forgotten and systematically served after the dishes). - Endless dinner (5-course menu) with more than 30 minutes of waiting between each course, arrival at the restaurant at 7:45 p.m. and end of the meal at 12:15 a.m. - No cushions on the terrace chairs during the aperitif. - No service at the pool for towels and sun loungers: customers left their used towels on the sun loungers until the evening. - Noise coming from the highway, impossible to sleep with the windows open. - Ineffective air conditioning (suite in the attic). Impossible to go below 27 °C. - No commercial gesture was made to compensate for all these inconveniences: Amazon customer service training would be useful! In summary: 5 undeserved stars, mainly due to the service (understaffed, inexperienced and a complete lack of management and supervision). As a result, the value for money is deplorable, which is a shame because the hotel is beautiful and the food delicious.

The place is located in a beautiful setting, the castle, the outbuilding, the garden, the sports areas, everything has been carried out with the greatest care. Renovated in 2021, this castle hotel is the perfect place to stay in complete peace. Only its location is noteworthy, on the edge of the highway (but without noise in our room) and far from the lake.

Perfect! We are charmed by the place and the cuisine. The decor brings back memories: Doctor Brachay is watching over us! The welcome was very warm, the staff very available, helpful and smiling. The dishes were fine and delicious. The old engravings and antique books make us dream of sitting down in an armchair to discover them one by one. What a trip! Bravo to all! I highly recommend it.

This is our fifth visit, and second dinner on the 31st. A pleasant welcome, limited clientele compared to our previous visits, allowing us to ensure optimum service (even if the waiter runs around the room too much, and that's not an empty word.). However, don't sit near the double glass door in the main room; you'll feel the polar cold and the sad mediocrity of the insulation despite the kindly offered additional radiator. As with the progress made in insulation, is this still possible? This spoiled our evening a little, despite an extraordinary menu accompanied by pleasant wines, with the exception of the mediocre Swiss rosé. A lovely evening in any case, despite the sore throats and runny noses this morning in our relationship 😱. We'll be back of course, but there are details to review...

A confidential and luxurious establishment in an exceptional setting. The service is truly excellent, as is the restaurant. All the staff are attentive, especially the reception staff. In short, everything is perfect. Thank you for everything.

as a couple on Saturday evening, for a single menu at 65 euros...it's a surprise menu with little "appetizers" between the main courses. we had a meat and a fish dish, very well served, good flavors, quite happy with all our plates....until the dessert was not at all up to the menu: a rum baba!!! while it's still summer and there are surely seasonal fruits...shame. very warm welcome, impeccable service, correct quantity. very good evening, just this dessert which really spoils the finale...

We often used to have family meals at Château Brachet, we returned there on August 25th and it was not our disappointment when the presentation of the plates contained very limited one single menu for the aperitif we were used to several appetizers, only one reduced to a teaspoon and the same with the coffee fruit jellies whereas before petits fours and chocolate .... the portion of fish on the plate very very small the vegetables with the meat not cooked tasteless too bad for a menu at 65 € I regret not having taken photos and not having said anything at the time to get an explanation I hope to return there and be pleasantly surprised again as we were each time otherwise too bad for them.

WEEKEND AT THE CHÂTEAU Château Brachet is a sublime establishment, 10 minutes from Aix-les-Bains. A relaxing and luxurious setting, where serenity reigns, ideal for recharging your batteries. Very good restaurant with a beautiful glass roof and a very romantic terrace on summer evenings. Long swimming pool with very comfortable beds around it. A wide range of activities is offered, such as padel, tennis, golf, etc. They have a spa, with hammam and sauna that you can privatize entirely. The rooms are decorated with great taste and with very comfortable bedding. Everything is of quality in this establishment and the attention to detail is felt throughout the stay. Thank you to the entire team and see you soon we hope!
