The locations is perfect, closely located to the ski-lifts. However, the hotel is out-dated and is dirty or better say, not daily cleaned. The food is average, but OK after a long day of skiing. If I would be the owner, i would invest in a good quality coffee machine. Last but not least, the ski/snowboard storage is horrible

Professional, helpful and very friendly interaction with all hotel staff. I was part of a large group that consisted of forty children. The building and rooms were quite basic. Only one plug socket that was hanging out of the wall and on opposite side of room to bed. Bathroom was quite compact but very functional. Bedding seemed a bit low quality. Pillows, pillow covers, duvet and duvet cover were nylon or polyester. Mattress very firm but I like that so comfortable for me but very mixed feelings amongst myself group. Food - OK overall as they were catering for perhaps two hundred guests at a time, the service was good with plenty of food on offer. Three pasta dishes, basic salad and two or three second plate dishes on offer every evening. Breakfast had a daily offering of cereal, yogurt, some fruit, some pastries, sliced bread, bread rolls, scrambled eggs and bacon. Drinks - A selection of tea bags, poor quality juice and hot chocolate machine. Coffee - was not good from machine in dining room but only option. Ski slope - Access from hotel involves a five minute walk carrying your skies to gondola or cable car. It's a friendly, comfortable and functional place to stay that perhaps might benefit from a little renovation update... Only in myself opinion !

Situated at the end of the valley and possible to ski in/out sometimes but only 5 min walk to main lifts and small town/bars! Big well laid out hotel that is quite dated with some lifts that don’t work. Basic but suitable given the position and the price. Good bar and well stocked that has some very simple entertainment for children each night. Food is all buffet style and plentiful but simple and it’s ok for the money. Rooms are well appointed warm, clean and of a good size but take an extension block as only one socket is spare) some have a balcony and some even have excellent Mountain View’s!. Ski locker room is very basic but it works as it should; warm but no heated boot stands. This hotel clearly takes school groups and therefore can be busy but there is a separate and well sound insulated room that they normally use!! Overall this is a very good, well priced, basic hotel that’s in a great position, without fancy frills. Very friendly staff and Wi-Fi in bar restaurant foyer…… not in the rooms!

Room 201. Stayed here for a week on a school trip. Rooms were warm, always nice to come in to after a day on the slopes. The rooms were tidied up during the day by staff, towels replaced etc. Rooms were clean upon arrival, bathroom was clean but could do with an extractor fan as after 1 shower the room becomes a sauna due to a lack of ventilation. We there’s plenty of room for 4 people, lots of storage and a large wardrobe. The beds were fine, can’t complain really. Service from staff was great, very quick to clear empty plates, well mannered too. Location is a 10/10, it’s a 5 minute walk (downhill with ski boots on) to the lifts. Locker room could also do with more lockers, we often came down to find skis and boots surrounding all the lockers and had to move them to access our own lockers. Food was good, plenty of choice - same with drink, various juices available as-well as a hotel quality coffee machine. Overall 7/10, few upgrades would make it the perfect hotel, location definitely saves it as if it wasn’t accompanied with such a mesmerising view of the valley, it’d face a wealth of scrutiny.

You get what you pay for - booked here through Crystal - nice big room for 1 plenty hot water and storage…. Needs a little updating. Staff all friendly and food ok too. Barman in the evening always pleasant and sofas comfortable to lounge about in. Ski locker room could be better. I kept my skis and boots in the locker room under the gondola station - state of the art and made it easier.€36 for a week. Would return as the resort is brilliant for mid intermediates. Found the slopes in Champoluc better although the Trinite area was good too. Best apres bar was the “container” just 100m from the hotel - good beer and music. Value for money holiday.

School trip, not expecting luxury by any means but certainly not 4 star. Our room was dirty on arrival ( used pants), in parts not vacuumed, incomplete bedding, beds uncomfortable and as already mentioned THIN walls and everything that entails.

We spent a week in the Monboso hotel in the last week February 23. First time in the area and what a cracking ski area it turned out to be. We were a party of 9 mixed skiiers and boarders. We were all in rooms next to each other and with most of us being over 50 noisy neighbours was not a problem. Yes the walls are thin and the hotel is dated but you get what you pay for. We had plentry of hot water. The rooms were warm but communal areas were a little chilly. You can pay £500 more per person and stay in the hotel down the road but we prefer cheaper and get more ski holidays in. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was basic but always plenty to eat. As in a lot of of Europe it could have been a tad warmer. All good in the restaurant on the whole. The bar has comfortable sofas that we all sat around in discussing the days antics on the slopes. Could have done without the Italian singer but hey ho some folk liked it. You have a card that you add Euros too at reception. No cash used in the bar at all just your card. You get a full refund of any outstanding balance at the end of your stay. Ski lockers in the hotel are basic but do the job. We took boot warmers and dried our boots in the room. No boot drying facility the locker room. Not a long walk to the gondolas in the morning but a bit of a hill to walk up at the end of a long day on the slopes. If you are skiing on the slopes on the same side as the hotel it is possible to get pretty close saving a lot of the walk. When skiing back at the end of the day if you are on the slopes opposite the hotel Don't follow the signs for Gressonay. You follow the signs for Staffal. Follow the Gressonay signs and you will need to get the bus Back from another town. We weren't the only ones in the hotel to get caught out by this. We had a good laugh about on the bus though and sacked the map reader. The hotel is in Staffal not Gressonay. The slopes are wide and long. Great for carving. We caught them at the right time with plenty of snow on them. Mostly reds with some blacks. Very few blues so not really beginners resort. There is a lovely pub at the bottom of the slopes opposite the hotel. It's run by some very friendly chinese people who served up some excellent food. Another bonus they served a range of 6 cask ales as well. There are a couple of other lively bars for some Apres ski but definitely not a party town. Great for us oldies.

Posizione insuperabile, camere pulite e servizio buono.
