This hotel has smoking rooms but the non-smoking room I was in was very clean and I never smelled any smoke. Staff is very nice and it was a nice quiet day. The bed was clean and comfortable. If passing through the area I would stay there again. Make sure to visit the Jim Henson museum.

My first stay was below average yet I stayed here again a few weeks later. The front desk staff were fine. The room, though, was not so fine. Couldn't turn off the lamp built into the top of the wardrobe, so had to pull it away from the wall and unplug it. The TV had no channels available, had to reset and do a channel search. So far, just 1st world issues. The next morning I discovered that there was NO soap or body wash, just shampoo. Plus, you could not change the flow of water from tub to shower, the pull valve was stuck. That was a fun time. Eventually got the valve to open part way so I could wash and rinse slowly. Then at breakfast they were out of coffee, eggs, oatmeal, and raisin bran although they did have the healthy and nutritious Froot Loops in stock. It turns out that the construction crew working on the hotel renovation (did I mention they were undergoing renovation?) had been invited to eat and cleaned out the breakfast area. I think I have finally learned my lesson.

The room was clean and the staff were very nice and helpful. We travel with our dog and were pleased that dogs were allowed with a $7.00 extra daily charge. We enjoyed the included breakfast and the coffee maker in the room. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioner was quiet and worked good. It was HOT in Greenville in early October so we especially appreciated the air conditioning! It looked like they were doing renovations on some of the rooms in another part but we didn't experience any noise where we were.

Unfortunately came to Greenville for a Funeral. (Already a sad situation) Booked directly thru Tru By Hilton Website. Got to Check in Desk and there's 3 other guests standing around on their phones. I get to the desk and Lo & Behold.... There are NO More Rooms available. All of us standing there in the same predicament. And not because of some issue... but simply because they OVERBOOKED the HOTEL. By a LOT! The clerk was nice about it, HOWEVER, since last minute... I had to figure something out...called around like everyone else, and had to book a MORE EXPENSIVE motel much FURTHER away. In the midst of everything taking so long to get resolved, I missed the family dinner for the ”pre-funeral”. Because I believe in FIXING Your MISTAKES, I Tried to let the hotel resolve it properly, hence why this review is so far AFTER the fact. The clerk told me to call the Manager. After a few MONTHS of trying to get in touch with the manager, emails, voicemails, lefts Notes for her thru Staff, I finally spoke to Tequila Davis, the self-proclaimed Front Desk Manager. (Months) In which She LIED and tried to cover the entire thing up. She stated I was a NO-SHOW to the booking, a LIE. She then changed her story and said they tried to call me and email me stating that they MOVED my reservation to the Hampton Inn Greenville, another LIE. Confirmed later by the GM who said they don't have that ability. I even pulled my phone records from Verizon JUST TO PROVE Her wrong. Even had her verify which emails were sent out, showing the reservation was never moved. She offered NOTHING in response to the inconvenience as they refunded me for the 1 night stay. (SEVERAL DAYS LATER) Just glad I had the money to even book somewhere else. After me stating, so there's NOTHING you are willing to do to resolve this situation with me, she stated No, but will have the GM call me back. After MORE waiting and back and forth... WEEKS.... I decided to take this up with Hilton ”Corporate” and file a complaint. The same day, they had the General Manager, Shante Hill, contact me. She offered me ”enough points for a 1 night stay.” Mind you, this is Several MONTHS AFTER this all transpired, Several attempt to contact them, Several Calls, Several Emails & Lies & Cover Ups. So on the phone, I politely stated.... 1 Night Stay after all of this!? Tequila being rude, and lying on me....and you're offering 1 Night... which is really the FIRST night I should've had in the 1st place... I said... you could at least make it enough points for TWO Nights. She apologized for the inconvenience and stated she will have to ask Upper Corporate Management if she is able to do that. After Several MORE WEEKS of communication efforts on my part, I called back, to no avail, hoping to find out if they approved the 2nd night. I FINALLY was able to get her on the phone and she stated they will send me a 1-night certificate in the mail. SMH. So here we are.... From Sep 2023 till Jan
