Years ago I had a bed & breakfast blog. That said--my husband and I have visited countless lovely B & Bs! We agree this one is simply the best of them all. The location is so peaceful and quiet; yet, you are 20 to 30 minutes from historic sites, restaurants, and wineries. The home is historic but at the same time, it feels new and is beautifully decorated. Many amenities such as a huge swimming pool, badminton or volleyball, walking among acres of flowers and butterflies, sitting on the porch and admiring the views--the list goes on. Jim's breakfasts are so delicious! T is a warm and gracious hostess with helpful sightseeing ideas! We walked away feeling like we had made wonderful new friends. We can't wait to return.

A pleasure to visit Prospect Hill with good friends for a short vacation. The setting is spectacular: rolling meadows, wildflowers festooned with butterflies, mature trees (some over 1000 years old!), gorgeous landscaping, and very quiet. The Sanco Pansy cottage was both nearby and secluded, very quaint and comfortable. Jim and Terenee were warm, welcoming and very accommodating. The pool was a particularly nice treat, which we had to ourselves. Breakfast was delicious and filling and served with pride. Can't wait to come back!!

The owners, Terenee and Jim, have created something special at Prospect Hill Inn. My wife and stayed there last August, shortly after Terenee and Jim had taken over as owners, and we greatly enjoyed our stay. We just returned and were even happier with our stay. All of the good things associated with our first stay (attentive and professional service, clean and comfortable rooms, beautiful grounds, great breakfasts, being warmly welcomed) are even truer today. Terenee and Jim have continued to improve both the facilities and the grounds; for example, the pool has been updated and a beautiful wildflower meadow has been added. In addition, we took advantage of the Saturday night five course dinner and it was wonderful. The attentive service has remained and it was truly a pleasure getting to interact with the owners. Would not hesitate in returning or recommending it.

My husband and I stayed in the Groom's Quarters Cottage for the Mother's Day Weekend Getaway. It was lovely and memorable in so many ways. The owners, Jim and T, couldn't be more welcoming or genuine. We felt pampered and cared for the minute we checked in. The grounds are gorgeous, the historical background is obvious and well-preserved, the food is fabulous, and the location is prime with natural beauty and a sense of wonder. We will go back for sure and we wish the new owners great success. They are charming and naturals when it comes to hosting guests. Looking forward to our next visit!

Wonderful place to stay. Owners wonderful. Have great suggestions on where to visit in the area. Be prepared for two large well behaved dogs. Breakfasts definitely on high carb side, but very tasty. Grounds are beautiful. Lots of birds. Great location.

Great inn and lovely innkeepers, who provided sanctuary for me and 2 dogs over July 4. Great trails and fields, yummy breakfast, charming and comfortable in Sancho Pansy cabin. Great base for exploring wineries (some allow dogs) and regional history.

The owners could not be more helpful and kind. The rooms were very comfortable city s fabulous bed to f sleep on all in in a garden setting. Love the views snd bountiful amount of wildlife around. Woke up and slept to the birds all around us. We shall return

This is our happiest place when we need to relax. The property is beautiful Doc and Paula are the best. Scrumptious breakfast served to your room. We always select a cottage but we tried a room in the main house this time .It was lovely and charming. And thank you you Doc for helping me with a father's day gift . Awesome place and awesome Innkeepers. This is a definite keeper!!!!
