It is considered to be a relatively large hotel in Europe, over-living hotels, small cities, hotels have their own parking lot, of course, you must check in at the front desk before you can find the entrance parking, other things are normal. Went early without breakfast.

In Graz for a customer meeting and stayed in Grand Hotel Wiesler Graz for 3 nights (Jan 18 to Jan 21). Truly enjoyed this stay, Five Star for sure. The facility was built in 1909 (guessed from its WiFi password), yet the interior is very modern. The staff was very friendly and responsive, and the breakfast was the best we ever had in Europe. Location and services are excellent. Staff are friend and efficient. Hotel design is simple, but remarkable. The only comment is the lack of hot drinking water. There is no water boiler in the room (seems most hotels in Europe are the same). It is quite inconvenient in the cold season.

Plus points - the location is good and the rooms are a decent size with decent facilities Minus points - the staff friendliness was a bit hit and miss - some where great, some not so helpful. The room service was a bit patchy - one day no towels, another day tea and coffee not replenished. The parking was also not ideal - I booked this hotel because it had hotel parking. I arrived around 10pm and was told the car park was full and I'd have to find somewhere to park myself either on the road outside or search the internet for a car park close by! Not really what I wanted to hear having travelled for around 12 hours - fortunately there was one remaining space fairly close which was a relief. We were lucky for the remainder of our stay that we managed to get a space in the undeground car park. If you do get a space the car park is really good - well lit, modern and easy to park with good room for each parking space. Overall our stay was ok.

The counter is very friendly, the room is clean, the breakfast counter will ask what kind of coffee is needed, and the cleaning action is also very fast, but the cleaning staff did not find that the shower gel has been used up and has not been replaced.

Just in the center of the city, there is a one-way line on the side, and the friend who drives the car is going to drive carefully for the first time. Very good location, very close to the main attractions, walking distance, a little far from the castle. The hotel was originally an ancient building, the floor was slamming, and the hotel was filled with potted plants. Breakfast is plentiful.

Check-in time is specified as 13:00-20:00. In fact, the room could only be obtained just before 18:00. This was not on the cleaning team but on the reception/management which allowed the former guest to occupy the room until 17:00 (instead of only 12:00). The wish of the previous guest was therefore on the expense of the new guest. The greetings at 13:45, 17:25 and 17:50 are somewhat excited accordingly; a friendly, warm ”Welcome” is different. When checking out, a tax will be due even though the bill has already been charged when booking. This could have been mentioned on the booking confirmation or elsewhere or at the latest when checking. Thus, when we adopt a decision, we are in a disappointing situation in the form of a discussion with a tough, brumous, apparently disturbing receptionist. The room is fully equipped: If the bathtub is to be used as a shower, a robust stop for safety would be advantageous when (glish) out. Location: in foot distance to the train station, well reachable with tram, not too far from the center, corresponding to some (but not really much) road noise until 24:00 and from 5:30.

The hotel is very clean, very quiet, very well located, free parking outside the hotel or garage paying underground. Breakfast at top 👌, a choice of fantastic and local drinks. The rooms are very nice and spacious with all the amenities necessary. Personnel at reception and restaurant are very helpful and smiling often. The bed is very comfortable and breakfast is great with a lot of things to choose from. Wifi works well. Be aware that if you arrive after 23:00 you need to make a call to another hotel to receive the key for getting inside and in your room. Walking distance from everything in the city centre.

This was our 1st stop duering our recent tour of Austria & what a great start ! After a 3hr train journey from Vienna through stunning scenery we arrived at Graz station. The hotel didnt appear to be far & only having hand luggage decided to walk which took us about 15mins. The hotel is convenient located near the old town with views over the river. Check in was both friendly & efficient which was appreciated as we had been travelling since early hours from the UK. We was very pleased with our room, bed was comfortable & our bathroom both roomy & well appointed. Duering our 2 day stay we very enjoyed our breakfasts served in the conservatory & I thought that the drinks we had in the hotel bar were very reasonable. There are terraced rear gardens with fabulous views & an outside pool but we resisted the temptation for a dip as it was mid February & about -4C 😁
