Hotels near Graz Main Railway Station, Graz

Plus points - the location is good and the rooms are a decent size with decent facilities Minus points - the staff friendliness was a bit hit and miss - some where great, some not so helpful. The room service was a bit patchy - one day no towels, another day tea and coffee not replenished. The parking was also not ideal - I booked this hotel because it had hotel parking. I arrived around 10pm and was told the car park was full and I'd have to find somewhere to park myself either on the road outside or search the internet for a car park close by! Not really what I wanted to hear having travelled for around 12 hours - fortunately there was one remaining space fairly close which was a relief. We were lucky for the remainder of our stay that we managed to get a space in the undeground car park. If you do get a space the car park is really good - well lit, modern and easy to park with good room for each parking space. Overall our stay was ok.

The counter is very friendly, the room is clean, the breakfast counter will ask what kind of coffee is needed, and the cleaning action is also very fast, but the cleaning staff did not find that the shower gel has been used up and has not been replaced.

Hi arrived one Sunday evening for the Grand Prix that was taking place nearby. Check in was via an iPad which told you a code for the room and all doors. (No disinfectant next to the ipad) The whole hotel was fine - basic, comfortable, clean and cheap. For what you pay, it's value for money. One thing i was a bit concerned about was the requirement (at the time) to show you were either vaccinated, tested or recovered from COVID (3Gs). Checking in on an iPad prevented people from showing this - anyone could have had it. Car park was in the shopping centre across the road - i got a discount from the hotel, which was great. Apart from that - a nice hotel.

Location and services are excellent. Staff are friend and efficient. Hotel design is simple, but remarkable. The only comment is the lack of hot drinking water. There is no water boiler in the room (seems most hotels in Europe are the same). It is quite inconvenient in the cold season.

Clean and beautiful But the room is much smaller than I thought Four people, but four people cannot carry the carrier at the same time! You just need to sleep In addition, the staff are friendly, the breakfast is delicious, and parking is easy. The facilities are clean and the water is good

It is considered to be a relatively large hotel in Europe, over-living hotels, small cities, hotels have their own parking lot, of course, you must check in at the front desk before you can find the entrance parking, other things are normal. Went early without breakfast.

We stayed at Hotel Strasser for 3 nights. This hotel is now belonging to Best Western Hotel Chains. The location was fine. The hotel and our room were super clean. Breakfast was really fine. And the most important thing was the attitude of the staff, which was outstanding! :-) Parking was also fine.

The hotel looks new. Designed in minimalist way, cutting down costs while serving the essentials. A hostel, effectively. Located over 15 minutes away by car from the city centre, the hotel offers free carpark to attract residents. Public transport is less reliable. Breakfast is cheap (€10.5), choice is understandably little. In short, it is quiet, clean and simple.

Stayed here for one night in April 2023 and thought it was fine. There is still reconstruction work going on on floor 1 but we didn't hear it. Did I hear it on the weekend? No. The junior suite was absolutely fine with a little balcony and a table outside. I am surprised this hotel doesn't have better reviews on here. POSITIVES: The room was very nice, bed was comfy and staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent too. It is about 5 minutes to walk to the number 6 tram at the Friedhof St. Peter (Cemetery) stop from Moserhofgasse - this gets you into the city very quickly. NEGATIVES: There are only 5 very minor negatives about the stay here, which is the reason it only gets 4 out of 5. 1. Parking charges - you are nowhere near the middle of Graz but they would like you to park in their garage at a cost. Alternatively they offer you green zone parking on the street outside which is free, but only at the weekend. Why on earth they cannot come to some deal with the the BILLA supermarket next door is beyond me, as BILLA car parks are never full up. 2. The pillows were stupidly squashy and there were no spares/extra pillows in the room. 3. We were not offered a Wifi password when we arrived and used BILLA free wifi next door instead. 4. No spoons in the room. Granted they have a very nice Nespresso coffee machine and capsules but no spoons or stirrers for the coffee. The advert stated the room had a fridge - it didn't. 5. The HOTEL TV is a nuisance as the remote didn't work, neither did the HDMI socket. Why hotels switch off HDMI sockets on TVs is ridiculous - this is 2023 and we can bring our own devices, watch what we want on them and be able to plug them into the TV in the hotel. They need to fix this and regularly check their remote controls. If you are stuck for something to do on a Sunday, the Grazer Trödlermarkt (Fleamarket) is within walking distance of this hotel and although you probably won't buy anything, it is a real trip down memory lane looking at all the old junk that they have for sale there.

Check-in time is specified as 13:00-20:00. In fact, the room could only be obtained just before 18:00. This was not on the cleaning team but on the reception/management which allowed the former guest to occupy the room until 17:00 (instead of only 12:00). The wish of the previous guest was therefore on the expense of the new guest. The greetings at 13:45, 17:25 and 17:50 are somewhat excited accordingly; a friendly, warm ”Welcome” is different. When checking out, a tax will be due even though the bill has already been charged when booking. This could have been mentioned on the booking confirmation or elsewhere or at the latest when checking. Thus, when we adopt a decision, we are in a disappointing situation in the form of a discussion with a tough, brumous, apparently disturbing receptionist. The room is fully equipped: If the bathtub is to be used as a shower, a robust stop for safety would be advantageous when (glish) out. Location: in foot distance to the train station, well reachable with tram, not too far from the center, corresponding to some (but not really much) road noise until 24:00 and from 5:30.
