Grau Roig Andorra Boutique Hotel & Spa

A very beautiful hotel in the mountains. We really enjoyed our weekend away in the seclusion of Grau Roig. The suite we had was wonderful, a great view, a superb sleep in a very comfortable bed and wonderful facilities. The spa was very much enjoyed, it’s upgraded facilities were great. The food is amazing, we dined in the tasting room one evening and in the La Fromagerie on our second night, both dinners were delicious. Breakfast was also delicious with a great selection available. I have to mention our sommelier Thomas, great cocktails, very knowledgeable about the wines and a very welcoming host. The overall experience about this hotel is made fantastic by the staff, everyone is welcoming and friendly and you’re made to feel at home from the minute you arrive. We’ll definitely be back and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Fabulous experience during pre-season fall. The location has Great Pyrenees hiking around the ski hill and the facility is very romantic. The spa is outstanding although it’s a little small and can really only accommodate around 6 couples and then, only some will actually have chairs. The Fromagerie restaurant was a lot of fun. The Beef fondue was excellent.

Treat yourself to this amazing slopeside hotel. Gourmet dining, on site equipment rental, friendly staff, and elegant rooms are just the beginning of the list of reasons to love this hotel.

We stayed at the Grau Roig Hotel for a week and they really looked after us. All of the staff, whether at breakfast, dinner or at reception were superb. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent as was our room. We attended their Theatre Of Wine, a tasting menu with wine pairings, it was very nice, a special mention must go to our host (apologies I've forgotten his name as I'm old ) an Argentinian guy, who spoke very good English, was very passionate and knowledgeable about the wine & food he was serving us, so a special thank you to him from both of us. Location wise, for hiking it's brilliant as you have several routes eg Pic Des Pessons right by the hotel. I imagine the skiing would be very good too but having not stayed there in the season I'm not really placed to comment. We hired a car and you'll need one if you want to visit other restaurants, bars and towns/villages. Andorra La Vella (the capital) was roughly a 30 minute drive from the hotel or roughly 40 Euros by taxi. So a final big thank you to everyone at The Grau Roig Hotel for making our stay a very enjoyable one.

My wife and I brought our son (19) and daughter (14) to Andorra for a long weekend of skiing in Grandvalira. An old friend recommended this boutique hotel as the best place in Andorra in terms of elegance, service, food, privacy, and ski-in ski-out convenience. Her recommendation proved true! Even before we arrived, the hotel had booked a guide to show our children the connecting slopes, arranged lift tickets, organized the rental of equipment, and reserved a locker for overnight storage. Our two rooms were beautifully appointed, with balcony views of the slopes. We opted for half-pension in the hotel's restaurant, enjoying breakfast and dinner each day. The food and service were excellent, on par with the best restaurants in Barcelona! The meals were truly gourmet (with a separate menu for the children which they loved), accompanied by a very good wine selection. The children absolutely loved the slopes despite the lack of snow the week before. Their guide helped them discover the interconnected slopes that did have sufficient snow, and they were able to ski from Grau Roig to Soldeu, El Tarter, Pas de la Casa, Canillo, and Encamp. It was not the Colorado experience they are used to, but they still had a wonderful time! Finally, the hotel provided a very pleasurable spa experience. The spa staff, the services, and the ambiance were perfect! We visited other hotels in the area and none met the standards here! We definitely will return and recommend this place without hesitation. Hotel Grau Roig is a gem!

An extraordinary hotel. As a family of 3 generations living all over the world we've experienced many top hotels and this has to rate as one of them. We could barely find anything to criticise which is a first especially given the varying age ranges (young children to teenagers to middle age and grandparents). Location: ideal. It's location at the bottom of the ski slopes is incredible. The skiers could ski from the door, meet the ski school instructors there for the kids lessons and meet the grandparents for lunch. In addition the ski hire shop is in the same building as the hotel (who also organise ski passes) so you get a discount and it could not be easier as the hotel's ski locker room (with heated ski boot holders) is the next door along. Food: Faultless and generous. A very high standard & selection of fresh food which all 3 generations found delicious. It's included in the room rate which makes it especially good value. Service: The hotel is owned and managed by Dunia Sans Marfany who is amazing and the client-orientated service obviously comes from the top as her staff were super helpful and friendly. Rooms: The rooms were well appointed with many thoughtful touches and decorated to a high standard with, for example, high quality bed linen. They were also very clean. Overall this is how a hotel should be and I hope we can return.
