I would strongly advice anyone not to stay in this terrible place. It's pretentious with a cold and unwelcoming owner. The room was poky with an extremely high bed and a precarious wooden step to climb it. The bathroom had a weird toilet and bidet unit which was very strange indeed. The flashing stopped working in the middle of the night. The shower was absolutely terrible with the water trickling down and kept changing it's temperature. Then we understood why she coldly demanded to be paid the two nights in advance. She gave the impression of being a grabby business owner, wanting to take but giving nothing back. She didn't even offer us a cup of coffee in the morning or a smile. When I asked if we could have an extra sheet to use as a light throw for the night and two pillow cases for extra hygiene she replied that there would be an extra charge. Incredible really. We couldn't wait to leave and were relieved in the morning she wasn't there when we left. AVOID this cold and souless place.

Wonderful time in a picturesque village
Absolutely stunning little gem in the surroundings of Cefalu. Debora and the staff were really welcoming. We had a pleasant stay in a charming house of a typical Sicilian village. Our room was decorated with taste and the house is full of nice little touch and details eg. some Ortiga soaps are provided for the guests. It’s also great to come back to a cool and fresh place after enduring scorching heat.

Beautiful place, our only complaint was the noise of the beds - very squeaky with any movement which woke us up all night. They were pretty antiques, just loud springs, the mattress and pillows were very comfortable. The place was located well, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Loved the hiking and location, so picturesque! Definitely recommend.

A fabulous place to stay in a lovely village in the heart of the Madonie Mountains. The breakfast was fantastic and we were looked after really well. Our gorgeous little house was beautifully restored and decorated, complete with its own jacuzzi. It was super clean, warm (we stayed in February) and quiet. Highly recommend it. Thank you to our hosts Debora and Gaetano!

This place is a jewel in the midst of a quiet and breathtaking mountainous background. The owners have successgmfully applied elements of modern style and function paired with the unique charme of antique furniture and elementsxalready present in this lovely house. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. My room is very comfy and warm.I strongly recommend to take the trip and spend a few days in this splendid atmosphere. Thank you.

If you want an authentic and unusual experience of Sicily, more than a place to stay - a stay with a deeper meaning, you must come to Gratteri. Without the noise of tourism in the silence that is occasionally interrupted by the church bell or barking, elevated and close enough to Cefalu and the beaches. Deborah, the owner, brought extra magic to Gratteri, arranging the accommodation with a lot of style Marija Rosa, the hostess, prepared delicious local food. For our late arrival, we were greeted with a hot meal and local wine on the table of the house where we stayed. I would definitely come back!
