My husband and I stayed for a weekend in Ashfield House for his birthday in March. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Grassington, a stone’s throw away from the centre and all the pubs, cafes and shops. It has onsite parking too which was great. Ashfield House is cosy and inviting and has everything you need, love the complimentary shortbread biscuits, sherry & Prosecco. The honesty bar in the guest lounge is a great idea although we didn’t use it. The breakfasts are fantastic, lots of choice and large servings. We would stay here again. Thank you.

Location is great, right in the centre of Grassington & with parking. Breakfast was excellent as was the lady who served it. The outside of the building and the garden is lovely . What let it down for us was our room. Although it was clean, it was shabby & in need of some tlc, especially the bathroom. The bed was so uncomfortable, the condition of the mattress meant we kept rolling into the centre of the bed! We had trouble locking the doors, there was no WiFi in our room so we had to go to the lounge to use it, we could hear all sorts of noises from the rest of the building, including the washing machine when it was spin drying, We didn’t have our room serviced as we were only stopping 2 nights but the extra milk that is provided on the landing had run out so we had to improvise for a drink on our 2nd night & the following morning as the property is not staffed overnight. We would not stay here again.

My husband and I visited for 3 days for my birthday, it was our first time in Grassington and we were not disappointed. The B&B which is in a perfect place in the middle of the village is beautiful, quiet, comfortable and they serve a huge breakfast which was amazing and the ladies serving us were lovely. They have a honesty bar in the downstairs lounge which we didn't use but there was complimentary bottles of prosecco in our room which was a nice touch. I will recommend to everyone who will listen and 100% be booking again.

My wife and I stayed here for my 71st birthday on the 7th and 8th of February. We left a tick box review without leaving anything written, considering my wife and I had very popular guest house for over thirty years I would say we pretty well know what we are talking about . We left a tick box review because we wanted to leave them a review but not mention any negatives, however one of the oweners was unhappy with the review so contacted us stating all sorts of silly untruthful things, so, I would now like to leave an updated review here. Our room was room 4 which was £285 for two nights, the room decor was quite pleasant, however the bedside lamp shade fell off and I was unable to re assemble also the bathroom floor that has a water proof covering was splashed with a little water from the shower and because I didn’t leave them five out of five in the *********** review the oweners decided to email me privately with abuse……,so, what I omitted from the *********** review I’ll state here. Our room was freezing cold the heating only came on very late afternoon and switched off at seven thirty, when the heating was on, it was thermostatically controlled and was just warm, temperatures outside were near freezing the room was stone cold after the heating went off, also the tv pixelated constantly, these things were brought to the oweners attention but “nothing” was done. This is not a hotel its a guest house with oweners that do not live on the premises!!!

This is our 3rd visit to Ashfield house and we have booked to return. The breakfast is superb and everything about this place is lovely. Lynn was very welcoming and helpful. Can’t wait to return. The room was lovely and even had 2 small bottles of Prosecco which was a very nice touch.

Fantastic one night stay - and incredibly good value for money ! There’s a nice honesty bar, commentary sherry and flap Jack and biscuits and Prosecco. The rooms were very sweet and comfortable. The breakfast was the BEST I’ve had in a long time - superbly cooked and lots of it. The people working there were ever so nice and there’s plenty of parking spaces. Really can’t wait to go back and stay again 😀

We stayed here for one night, a bit of a last minute night away and it was perfect for that. We stayed in the garden room which was very roomy, lovely comfy bed and nice touches, Prosecco, good breakfast. Be careful getting in to the car park if you have a big car it’s a bit tight :)
