Den Chiemgau kennen wir bereits und wussten somit auch um die hervorragende Lage des Hotel/Gasthofes Messerschmied in Rottau. Hier 4 Nöchte zu übernachten war eine gute Wahl. Unser Zimmer war groß, Bad ebenso, alles passte, auch die Betzen waren o.k. Der Service, sowohl für's Hotel als auch im Gasthof war sehr gut, alle Wünsche wurden erfüllt. Großes, leckeres Frühstücksbuffet. Wir kommen gerne wieder bzw. werden den Messerschmied auch weiterempfehlen.

Sehr nette kompetente Bedienung, moderne bayerische Küche, sehr leckeres Essen , normale Wartezeiten trotz vollem Lokal. Trotz fehlender Reservierung und vollem Lokal noch einen Supertisch bekommen . Auf Bewertungen durch Tripadvisor gefolgt.

Wir waren 2019 schon einmal dort und haben dieses Jahr wieder einen Tisch reserviert. Wir saßen gemütlich im Biergarten. Das Essen war sehr gut, so wie der Service auch. Wir waren wieder sehr sehr zufrieden. Würden jederzeit das Restaurant wieder besuchen. Parkplätze sind gegenüber und hinterm Haus verfügbar. Hunde sind im Aussenbereich willkommen, Innen wissen wir es nicht.

Preis groß, Portionen klein! Kellner unfreundlich. Nirgends ein Salat als Beilage dabei, auf Nachfrage, ja haben wir, ohne Preisangabe! Surbraten, total versalzen, Soße total wässrig und zwei " Kinderknödel - Kartoffel und Semmelknödel, nix" in kleinem Töpfchen Krautsalat, mit Finger in Topf beim Servieren! Keine Salatteller , sowie Nudelgerichte auf Karte. Brotzeiten erst ab 17 Uhr! Was soll das? Muss man denn nur noch abzocken? Preise zum im Halsstecken bleiben und das in Bayern. Sind nicht der Nabel der Welt. Toiletten - Gruß aus den 70ern. Nein Danke einmal und nie wieder!!!

Ich bin nach einem Radlausflug im Biergarten des Gasthofes eingekehrt: Mein Schweizer Wurstsalat war leider mehr als übersichtlich. Leberkas, Käse und eine halbe Essiggurke. Kein Schnittlauch o. ä. Und das für 9.50 €. Da passt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis leider nicht mehr. Ich war enttäuscht, weil ich all die Jahre davor andere Qualität und Quantität gewohnt war.
