Brooklynn Guest House

Brooklyn is a lovely house with very comfortable and stylish accommodation. Breakfasts are excellent and made from selected local produce. The hosts are welcoming and friendly, and have a wealth of local and regional knowledge that enhances the experience of the local area and any trips and visits planned. We will definitely stay again.

An excellent place to stay after completing a day walking the Speyside Way. A welcoming guest House set back from the main Street in Grantown On Spey but only minutes from bars and restaurants. The room was spacious and well appointed. There is a large guest lounge at the front of the house next to the breakfast room. The breakfast menu was extensive and delicious. The host was very welcoming and went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. I would very happily use this guest House gain if we return to the area.

Had I have known how traditional and not contemporary this place was I wouldn’t have booked it. There was an overwhelming smell of damp wood through out the downstairs which sadly continued on into the rooms, the bathroom however was fabulously modern and it’s a shame they couldn’t carry some of that into the room, I appreciate wanting to maintain character but some modernity would be appreciated. The owner was a lovely lady who raved about her home grown fruits and how she makes everything herself and then we got banana muffins at breakfast, whilst I’m sure they were lovely it seemed a shame not to use the fruits she was so proud of, speaking of breakfast, it was a very dry affair, no baked beans on offer and when I asked for ketchup I was met with a “no she’s not got any left” from the lady (not the owner) who was serving us, for me I would assume that as breakfast is the only meal you’re serving then having both condiments available should be a guarantee when you know you have guests staying! Plus just add a little bit of music into the breakfast room, there was us and one man in there on his own, it was so awfully silent that it felt very awkward to make conversation between ourselves and we ended up whispering. All in all I personally wouldn’t stay again but if traditional properties are your thing then you’ll feel right at home!

Lovely, friendly B&B. Good sized room and comfy bed in an attractive property. All facilities were good. Service was very good, friendly and informative and breakfast was excellent. We are both vegan and were extremely well catered for. Thank you.

A lovely traditional bed and breakfast. A really warm welcome and nothing too much trouble. Grantown on Spey is a really lovely little town and the centre a couple of minutes walk from centre. Very nice comfortable room, good breakfast and lovely fresh muffins every morning which you can take with you for the day, which was a lovely touch.

Located on a quiet street but less then 5 mins from the High street. Room was very large with a nice bathroom. Breakfast was excellent and the "takeaway" muffins were enormous. We couldn't find fault with anything. Overall probably the best accommodation we stayed in during our trip to the Spey Valley.
