Travelodge Northampton Wootton

The travel lodge at Wooton was on the outskirts of the town near the m1 motorway The decor is very run down a side door with broken glass and a weedy path greets you on your approach from the car park. The room was comfortable the bed very comfortable. Shower was fine coffee tea avaliable in room. We arrived at 2.00am but not a problem as a lovely girl called Monique I believe sorted us out on arrival letting us use her mobile phone as we had a problem to sort out. Her warm welcome was very much appreciated I asked for an ironing board and iron in the morning again no problem from another female member of staff. Stayed two nights and again was helped by the male receptionist to order a taxi which to Luton Airport had to be booked over the phone this gentleman made the call through his phone. The Toby restaurant annexed to the hotel was also in need of decor refresh bathrooms particularly bad smell. Only instant coffee available with water from an old boiler type of thing really out dated. Should be made clearer that you have to order from the bar section and pay in advance before going to get your breakfast.!!! Overall OK for the money staff excellent let down by the decor and in need of a cleaning modern upgrade. Location would require a car as about 5 miles from northampton Town centre

The stay was lovely despite it being for business. Everyone was really helpful, especially as I didn't know the area and Dawn was great in giving recommendations. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was lovely and clean and the bed super comfortable. Thank you to everyone there

Was very impressed nice clean and tidy would definitely stay again. Staff were really helpful knew the local area to recommend places to go Room were clean and the bed was very comfy breakfast was brilliant Dawn was especially helpful when we needed extras

Great value. Nice and quiet, very pleasant and welcoming staff. Fab shower. Beds are always sooo comfortable that sometimes I don’t want to checkout. Brilliant English breakfast next door at Toby Inn. Ideal location that fitted in well with my tour.

The hotel is quiet and has a toby carvery attached. The full breakfast is only 5.99 on weekdays. The hotel is near the M1. So why stay in london with its ridiculous prices when you can stay here, with striking distance of London. Northampton is very pleasant city to see in the bargain. The staff are very friendly and check in and check out is a breeze.

Friendly and welcoming staff who gave the impression that nothing was too much trouble. Will certainly use this hotel again.

Room smelt very damp and musty, bathroom was excellent. Sprayed with an air freshener which helped a little bit. Should really have complained

My family I did not enjoy the stay at the lodge the room was not clean in some of the drawers in the wardrobe they were other people's belongings and there were some sticky stuff even on inside the wardrobe

Excellent location for motorway and also a very nice Toby carvery attached. The bonus as a single female was the lovely lady on Reception whom when checking in made a point of giving me a direct phone number for the hotel team - should I need assistance of any kind. That was very reassuring for a single female business traveller and made a big difference. All Travelodges could learn from this and adopt the same CS policy - I would definitely stay here again, very quiet and a great nights sleep - the only pity was I had to leave so early as would have enjoyed sleeping in there :-)
