The breakfasts are so so but could be so much better. The evening meal is good value for money. The hotel staff really do lack any enthusiasm or motivation to provide you with any advice or local knowledge. The cleaning staff are the ones who actually engage and seem the happiest. The hotel currently has work on site for future developments. The overall score would be about 7 out of 10 but could with a few improvements could increase.

Independente Comporta is a lovely hotel, with beautifully furnished rooms and villas in a tranquil setting. We stayed in a two-bedroom villa which was perfect for a family of four. We had our own private pool which was amazing. The rooms are very tastefully decorated with every detail carefully considered, from the lovely products in the bathrooms to the towelling robes to wear by the pool. The food at breakfast and dinner was delicious, and the staff were amazing: very professional, helpful and friendly. The local area is great, with a stunning beach 15 minutes away and fantastic restaurants in Comporta Village. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel and would love to return.
