I reviewed this location in July 2017, which I gave them 5 stars. I had booked (June20th) this hotel for my mom & 3 aunts, due to having some problems with a home renovations. It was booked the same day as arrival. This location is perfect with many restaurants & businesses around this location. They went to grab dinner then checked in to the hotel. They sent my pictures of the room, I was completely shocked & horrified of the conditions of the room. Pictures included mold in the ceiling of the shower, shower vent peeling paint, table leg cracked, window casing cracked and holes in the wallpaper in the bathroom. This is the second Homewood Suites in Grand Rapids that I’ve had to give less than stellar reviews. I absolutely love the Hilton brand, but I’m not sure what’s going on with the Grand Rapids locations. These hotels are in need of some much needed TLC maintenance ASAP. I was so embarrassed I had booked this for them, but I wanted a spacious room for them.
