We picked Grand Rapids as a midway point for our trip between Chicago and Mackinac Island. We selected The Parsonage based on positive reviews and were elated to find The Parsonage lived up to its fine reputation! This historic home has been elegantly updated for modern convenience while respecting its Guilded Age heritage, right down to the details of comfortable period furnishings. Steven is an awesome host, and gave us an orientation tour that included the history of the house. Our room was comfortable and quiet. Our stay was brief and there’s enough to see in the Heritage Hill neighborhood that we didn’t lounge on the front porch, which I would have really liked to do. Next time! We opted out of breakfast because of an early departure, but again, I look forward to enjoying that meal NEXT TIME. The Parsonage is a gem and a worthy experience for a lovely stay.

We had a lovely stay at the Parsonage Inn. We were in GR for a wedding, so we were just looking for something close to the reception and not too expensive since hotels in downtown are REALLY pricy. We were so excited when we pulled up to the inn as it is the cutest Victorian home! Inside matched up completely with decor and atmosphere. Our room (#3 appropriately named Wedding Waterfall) was beautiful! Huge bed, private bathroom, lots of seating. No t.v. which was fine as we were not there very much. A/c unit with self adjusting fan (which I love the white noise). Breakfast was delicious! Started with a yogurt with 1/2 pear (possibly caramelized) and blueberries. Hubby said the coffee was really good and he LOVES coffee. We had some French toast and an egg bake-like soufflé. Everything was great! Only had brief contact with staff, but they were fantastic in communicating via text! We would definitely recommend the Parsonage Inn!

This was a terrific stay. We had the top floor Retreat. Clean, comfortable rooms with lots of common area space and a kitchen. Breakfast was provided each morning. Delicious and filling. The perfect way to start the day. Relaxing on the front porch in the evenings was a great way to wind down. Easy to get to and in a beautiful neighborhood, it was everything we could have asked for.

What an elegant, immaculate and peaceful lodging experience! We enjoy the many great sites and restaurants in Grand Rapids, and the Parsonage B&B is a perfect place to stay! This visit, we toured the Meyer May House, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, a mere half block away from the Parsonage House. Our room was spacious, with ample seating and we slept so well. Excellent breakfasts were worth leaving sound sleep!

The Parsonage is such a well kept home. We marvelled during the tour. They think of everything to make the visitor comfortable. Room 3 was good. The bed was dreamy. Hosts also helped with map of Heritage Hill homes so we could take a fun driving tour & guided tour of the Frank Lloyd Wright Home.

The Inn is inviting and comfortable and in a great location. The innkeepers are very nice and willing to help with recommendations and directions. Breakfast was served individually and was delicious. Parking is available on street or in back of the house for a few cars.

Set in an historic district of Grand Rapids, decades ago residents fought to keep the large and beautiful homes in the area from being demolished in an urban renewal program. This bed and breakfast is one of these homes that has been restored to the era of its construction. The hosts were welcoming and gracious. The room was spacious and shared an open space that was always furnished with ice, water and snacks. The breakfasts were beautiful and delicious. We enjoyed spending time on the large front porch, cool and shaded (July). The inn was convenient to restaurants and shops, you could walk to many places. I would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast.

This was our first time in a bed/breakfast and we were blown away with the cleanliness, hospitality, comfort and delicious breakfast. The house itself has so much history and it is surrounded in a historic district that was so interesting to see on our walks. Steven and Deb were so friendly and inviting it felt like we were staying with family. They added so many little touches that just enhanced our experience. Very close to great restaurants and attractions. I highly recommend it and look forward to our next stay there.

We have stayed here at least a half a dozen times- even celebrated an out- of- town Christmas there! Very comfortable beds, fabulous sheets and great hosting. Everything from fresh water in glass bottles in our room to cookies available 24/7. Steven and Deb are easy to communicate with and just “good peoples!” Love the vintage toys upstairs!!
