Fairfield Inn & Suites Grand Junction Downtown/Historic Main Street

This is a price point hotel. So for the money it is not bad, but not great either. Seemed dated. There were no glasses, no USB points and no bottled water offered. It does have a pool and hot tub though (neither have any atmosphere). Being on Main Street offers places to eat up the road.

Chose this hotel as walking distance from Amtrak Station as we had arrived from Denver for an overnight before collecting hire car next day. On check in receptionist asked if we had a car which we advised we didn't. We also asked for phone number for local taxi to take us to airport to collect hire car next morning. Room was large and spacious but fridge door would not shut and TV remote didn't work. Free breakfast was good . After checking out we realized over $11 was added to bill for car parking although we had advised we didn't have a car.

We only stayed two nights while visiting nearby national parks. Everything was as expected with the check-in, room and breakfast the following morning. The area was safe and close to many restaurants and nearby shopping along Main Street which was busy with many patrons. I find Marriott hotels very consistent with good accommodations and this one met our expectations. We would stay here again.

Room is spacious, clean, and comfortable. Nice bath products, and linens. Everything in the room works as it should. Super nice staff. Everyone was warm & friendly. From housekeeping to the GM. I'll be staying here when I return for future trainings.

In my opinion, the Fairfield Inn & Suites Grand Junction Downtown has really gone downhill in cleanliness and service. We recently stayed at this hotel for 6 days (5 nights) and we were unable to get housekeeping service, even though we requested it at check in, and multiple times after check in. We finally had to complain to the manager, and he had the room cleaned (minimally), and he assured us that the problem had been resolved and that we would receive regular housekeeping in the future. But it wasn't resolved, and we didn't get housekeeping for the rest of our stay. In 6 days we only got our room cleaned once - to the bare minimum. We actually had to buy our own cleaning supplies and toilet paper. The hot tub was also "out of order" for our entire stay, which to me indicates a lack of maintenance as well as cleanliness. We ended up avoiding the gym, recreation, and breakfast facilities because if the staff could not get one room clean, then we had serious doubts about how clean the public areas were. Again, in my opinion, this hotel has really declined in terms of quality, cleanliness, and service, and if I had known that I would be begging staff for supplies and any sort of housekeeping, then I would have booked a private rental so that I would at least have my own kitchen and cleaning supplies.

The hotel price was on the high side, but the location is quite nice. Walking distance to downtown eateries, cafes, shops. We really enjoyed both nights here. Left the car parked in their private lot behind the property. Plenty of spaces (they do charge for parking per night) We got a high floor room, very quiet. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was quite nice.
