The Hampton Inn Grand Island hotel is centrally located near businesses in Grand Island and the Conestoga Mall which is minutes away. For dining there are tremendous restaurants: Whiskey Creek Steakhouse, Nonna's Italian Restaurant, The Chicken Coop, Farmers Daughter and many more. For the explorers the Stuhr Museum is only three miles south. There are also numerous activities in the Grand Island surrounding area.
There are three room types to choose from: two queen beds, one king bed or our beautiful whirlpool suites with either a king or two queen beds. Each room is beautifully designed with tranquility beds, 27 inch TV, a work or writing desk and each room has wired as well as wireless internet access.

The property was clean and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was acceptable. The building is dated. The pool was closed.
I was concerned that the fire doors in each end of the floors were propped open.
I would have liked to have had somewhere outside to sit.
The property was close to family.

When we got to our room we noticed a puddle of water in the bathroom on the vanity. Turns out the room above us had a toilet leaking. They did get a repair man in to fix it, but that was a rocky start. The breakfasts were great. The beds and pillows were very comfy.

Will choose another hotel in the future
Pool and got tub were out of commission but online said they had them, which is extremely disappointing as we had younger children who were excited to swim. I was told one thing about price but then given another, almost double for the one night vs what I was told and when I brought this to their attention I was literally told "she lied to you". I am not sure if they just hadn't checked but half the breakfast items were empty. For 320 I would expect more.. a lot more.

Ok
We arrived and our door would not latch and was left open. Talked to the front desk to be moved to a room with a secured door but they said they were booked up. Mind you it was only 3pm. Lucky the maintenance man was in the parking lot and fixed the issue. He was great but the front desk kid was not. Beds were comfortable. Shower had rust and was run down.

Only reason for 4 star review was the property seemed somewhat old/dingy. That being said it was quiet, clean, and felt safe. Staff were friendly.
