Transfer to the resort was painless, maybe 45 minutes Check in was a breeze Nice resort but I wouldn’t rate it a 5 star. Rooms Try to get a room in building 1, no issues at all. Can’t speak for the other buildings. We stayed in 1132 on the ground floor(level 0), there are 3 floors. It was a swim out pool room, second to the last room facing in towards the garden path. It was great location being right in the middle of the resort. Same distance to the restaurants, lobby( where the nightly entertainment and outdoor evening bar is and the pools. We had morning sun until around noon. Beds are good and comfortable and the cleaning staff did a good job. Our room was refurbished Freshly painted Bathroom and shower were very nice New front door(this was an issue in some other reviews) And we hear from another guest in Building 7 that their front door was rough. Swim out pool (not heated) cleaned 4-6 times a day We didn’t actually use this much because we were not in the room much I would have taken early morning and late night dips if it was heated USB outlets Hair dryer They supply soap shampoo and body lotion No hair conditioner No need for adapter unless using a curling iron (not provided) We actually never turned on the TV mini fridge with beer and soft drinks Snacks peanuts and M&M’s Anything you want just ask (robes, specific alcohol and mix) We didn’t order room service, but it’s available The shower could use a slip mat Zero complaints Main pool is great, big and easy access from many sides Chair Clips or bands are a good idea It’s was constantly windy Pre tan or be very vigilant with reapplying sunscreen Bit of a morning scramble for chairs in the front row, but lots of room with many umbrellas The swim up side of the bar is closed, no big deal There is a bar on each side of the pool Pool volleyball, aqua aerobics Floaties are permitted Beach The beach is gorgeous Super soft sand Nice and calm waves not rough at all Lots of chairs and umbrellas Zero water sports This was disappointing No volleyball, paddle boards, hobby crafts snorkeling ext. Unfortunately there is no shower or foot wash when exiting the beach They were not working This results in people coming to the pool to wash sand off their feet This needs to be addressed There is a restaurant down the beach, checked it out but didn’t eat there. A bit pricey. Restaurants Breakfast buffet was good, omelette station and the usually Nice touch with a self serve mimosa and Caesar bar cart Japanese Good service and food was the same as any other resort cooking table Lunch Buffet was adequate but was just ok with little variety throughout the week Al a cart was in the same restaurant each night with rotating menu. Steak house, mediterranean, and Italian. 2 restaurants are closed for renovation’s. We left the resort to eat dinner 2 nights Staff Everyone was outstanding Shout out to Leo in the preferred bar. Hector at the beach bar friendly and great service. Everyone

Had a great vacation. Room was very clean and modern. Food was great all week, no complaints at all. Pool was nice and always clean. Lots of iguanas hang around the pool. Some entertainement in evening would be great but we made due with the music playing at the lobby bar and the guest musicians throughout the week. Looking forward to what the upcoming renovations will provide.

Conditions of the rooms were not worth the money we paid for for our stay. I would not recommend this location in its current condition. When I tried to contact Hyatt, they gave me the runaround. THE STAFF WAS AMAZING, but the condition of the rooms were horrible.

Unlimited-Luxury At Secrets St Martin Ahhh try Again Marketing Team.. “Try a Dirty Hotel at premium price that needs renovation where you never feel alone with the birds that will help you finish your meal” It could have been so nice but for sure not luxury Tired place that needs painting, new furnishings better cleaning and service minded staff. The great selection of restaurants are only a “bird” buffet place more like a meeting room with uninspiring food and another conference room place that changes menu. Goumet ? Do not think the marketing team ever tried the food Service are from 0 (I do not care) to helpfull staff so just try to find the helpfull one Was told they are in a renovation process but would have been better to close down instead of having guests feeling like staying at a max 2 star place that are about to close down but Hyatt probably need the money for renovating which for sure is needed Complained more times but guess it was to the “team i do not care”

We enjoyed Secrets St Martin . Got a great deal on a Prefered Master Club Suite. Loved the room with a marina view . Food was good . No beach or pool drink service. Probably why we only gave a 4 star . Things are changing with resorts today . Tightening their budget we suspect. Dress codes for dinner at the alacarts are extremely relaxed . 90 % of the crowd wore shorts , tee shirts and flip flops . Too many iguanas on the property. People are feeding them . Not sure that is good . Birds at the Market Buffet in the morning are over bearing. The resort needs to try and control that . They are on the tables and don’t leave for a minute to get something as they will be in you your food . Anyway glad we chose this resort. The beach and sand were amazing.

So alot of remodeling work being done on the side I stayed on. It wasn't bothersome at all the only thing was we were on 2nd floor and swimup pool suites below us. The water and area looked a mess, so the view was not desirable. No noise to complain of. Upon asking around turns out secrets was closing and going back to individual management. I believe we were there for their last week. Staff was exceptional in every way food was good. Rooms were adequate. We had a standard room. We had free upgrades if available with our reservation. The resort seemed empty and there was no upgrade offered and we did not ask. Location was great and beach was beautiful I may return once the ownership change and renovation is done. I did enjoy the quietness of the resort.

Just came back from Secrets St Martin. There are many bad reviews which I’m failing to understand. Yes hotel needs heavy face-lift, no doubt. Otherwise, all was great. Stayed in the swim-out suite building 4. Large and comfortable. Only issue was that housekeeping was done very late. Asked for it to be done before noon it didn’t really happen. Beach was fantastic calm clean water. Food: breakfast/lunch went to buffet. Dinner: Asian restaurant and there was another one with switching themes: Italian/French/Stake. Never issue with luck of food or variety. A lot of variety of alcohol in the bars. Took a while to adjust to hours of operations for bars/restaurants. Spoke with management a few times to comment them on the great job they were doing incliding chef. Overall great vacation will come back in a heartbeat.

The Anse Marcel beach is beautiful and clean, sea warm, calm and clean. Beach was not crowded, and no hawkers bothered us. Room was as expected, clean, comfortable and well supplied, and room service was good. In fact all staff interactions were good. However two of the restaurants were out of service causing queues to form at the open restaurants, Restaurants meals were gererally good, with good menus, excepting the Himitisu restaurant, where the menu was unappetising, and service patchy. We loved the Coco cafe - coffee shop. There is a reasonable gym, which needs some TLC. Outside of the resort there were a number of closed up shops and restaurants - there were not many people about outside of the resort, and I dont know whether this is seasonal or an area problem.
