After 40 years of regular travel around the world we have never had so many disappointments. Indeed: - Very complicated sleep during these 15 days between the spotlights in the driveway which remain on all night (just a problem of adjustment) and during the day which floods the room from 5:30 a.m. because there are no curtains blocking out the barking of the neighboring dogs … - No ventilation in the bathroom / WC and impossibility of opening the skylight - Toilet bowl full of black marbling - Leaky tap and rusty shower (and no hand shower) - Shower seal neither done nor to be done - Excursion organized one Sunday in the southwest (160€) for the day with a visit to the Chamarel rum factory which we found closed. When we returned, at the end of the morning, the veracity of the information was questioned, although the rum shop confirmed it to me by email. - Another catamaran excursion to the island of Benitier resulting in food poisoning and hospitalization (note: we did not have lunch anywhere in the meantime) - Swimming pool treated only with salt with a little vinegar! and without electrolyser (dixit Valérie) therefore without any disinfection: a world first… The positive points: - Spacious and clean room - Dinner with lots of flavors when it is the chef who prepares - Emilie the waitress who is a gem We are aware that since the arrival of the new owners 8 months ago everything could not be resolved, but at no time was there any intervention or even a proposal to change rooms on the pool side, even though we told them all this but we very quickly felt that our remarks were unpleasant and we were just told "we know, we'll make a list"... even when we asked at the very least to have a map of the neighborhood to find our way because the The establishment is located outside the city. The day of our arrival, no one was there because the reception is closed from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., the owners do not live in their "Guest house", we waited 20 minutes for them. And on the day of our departure, we were kicked out and told that check out is at 10 a.m., this information does not appear anywhere in the room or at reception and no one told us. And we can't even say that the value for money is interesting because if we compare with hotels of the same class and price nearby, the services are much superior.
