I really enjoyed my stay at this place. Makhanda was very cold, but the owner made us feel welcome. Alternative measures were put in place for my colleagues. Thank you to all the amazing staff who looked after us very well.

I had a lovely 4 days in this accommodation and I wish I could have stayed longer. It was my first stay and everything was more than expected. The apartment is so clean, comfortable and warm, and has everything you need for self catering. The shower is exceptional! It is very peaceful and I enjoyed sitting outside relaxing and watching the birds. It is a short walk to the nearby shops which is very convenient. I was very well looked after during my stay. Thank you so much for a lovely time and I will definitely be back.

We dropped in on A Stones Throw on our way from the Cape to KZN. and were lucky enough to be accommodated. Suzanne was friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and had good facilities. Suzanne even recommended a route home.

Very comfortable and reasonable home well situated for schools and shops. Lovely accommodating staff who were very kind and friendly. Very safe and secure!

We stayed at A Stone's Throw as a stopover on the way home. What a pleasure! It was so quiet, the room was very clean, the bed was amazingly comfortable and the room was well set up with everything we needed (fridge, microwave, kettle, etc). We'll definitely stay there again if we need a place to stay in Makhanda.

We were met by a very friendly Zoleka, who explained how things worked, and settled us in. The self-catering unit was lovely and had lots of old-world charm, albeit a little hot in Grahamstown in December. It was centrally located in a quiet suburb. Rooms and bathroom were comfortable, but the kitchen was not very clean.
