The Hotel is located in an ideal position in Grado, outside the historic center (so you can avoid asking for transit permits), but still close to both the center itself and the beaches (10 minutes on foot). Furthermore, it is in an area that is not particularly busy with pedestrians or cars, so there is no noise. It has a small garden and a swimming pool (both indoor and outdoor), among other buildings. It has some beach places available a short distance away and parking spaces in an adjacent car park (not controlled and not covered). Grado is a quiet place, suitable for all ages (but especially families), with predominantly German/Austrian and Italian customers. The beach is beautiful and clean, unfortunately I can't say the same about the sea which, at least when we stayed, was dirty and full of algae (and in fact we bathed in the hotel pool). I gave it a 3 (average) by taking the average of various items. There are things that are very appreciable and others in my opinion that need improvement. 1) the swimming pool (which contains purified salty sea water) is very beautiful, it also has an outdoor hydromassage tub and a bar/lunch service. The hotel provides beach towels and changes them every day. Rating 4. 2) The breakfast is exceptional, both sweet and savory (rating 4), unfortunately not so the dinners. There is no selection of buffet starters (there is a salad selection), the dishes are too "touristy" and designed for German customers (I would have expected even more choice of fish), rating 2 to be improved 3) Prices: a in my opinion excessive: a 50 cc bottle of water costs 4 euros when you can find it at the supermarket for 30 cents. It's okay to earn money, but we're not in the Costa Smeralda. Rating 2, they definitely need to be lowered. 4) Rooms: they are very clean (the staff comes by at least twice a day), but they are a little "dated" (70s style, with carpet and upholstery that you can't really see). They should be modernized (as was done for the bathrooms) and I also suggest getting a TV subscription to the Sky package (as in all 4 star hotels). Rating 3. 5) Staff: the pride of the Hotel. Always kind and helpful, always smiling. Rated 5 but only because this is the best on Tripadvisor, they all deserve 10. Don't miss them!
