Kiambram Country Cottages

The place, surroundings and the lovely hosts were exactly what I hoped for, for my Australian countryside stay. The place is serene, peaceful and what a stunning view right from the cabine. I enjoyed a lovely evening walk with Michelle. And we were treated with a beautiful sunset which you can especially enjoy from the cozy spot they set out for that. The cabin is beautifully decorated and has a very comfortable bed and spacious shower. And the garden around the cabin adorns the cabin especially with the variety of birds and butterflies that come by. I highly recommend this place and would love to come back and would then like to stay longer. As my fiancè is a fifo worker I wanted to surprise her with a night out as she was only back for3 days .I made up some story the only thing I could afford was a run down motel..I made her shut her eyes until we arrived..btw I was the one driving lol...then when we arrived I said open your eyes..she was bewildered..and to say she was happy was an understatement...so relaxing there, the owners are friendly and inviting...couldn't recommend this place enough..thankyou..will definitely be back and so local too

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights at Kiambram & left wishing we had had more. Michelle & Adam are earnest hosts who treasure their natural environment. Their grove of bush tucker plants certainly encourages many birds, butterflies & moths etc, and the views across the rural countryside are beautiful - especially at sunrise & sunset. We were very comfortable in Wren Cabin, listening to fairywrens all around us. Basalt Cabin is well set up for wheelchairs & wheely walkers. Both Wren & Basalt cabins have expansive views. Coolibah cabin is tucked away in the trees, but still has a view from a bedroom window. The cabins are all charming & spotlessly clean. We added in the birdwatching package with Mick Atzeni. It was excellent. Thank you Michelle & Adam for making this possible too. You have created a special little retreat indeed.

Kiambram Country Cottages are located in a unique, country environment amidst truly Australian scenery that provides the guests with peace, great views and an escape from the urban rush. Cottages are comfortable, very well appointed with amazing views of the surrounding rural countryside. Michelle and Adam provide everything for guests that ensures a very enjoyable and memorable stay. Highly recommended!

Peaceful and perfect spot to recharge and relax in beautiful country surroundings. Not the place for those that want action around them, our stay in Gumnut Cottage was an ideal short break with family visiting from overseas. We were able to enjoy wide country vistas, visiting the attractions of Highfields, and the ultimate in dining at the nearby Meringandan Pub - not to be missed (order the small sizes). The cottage is very well fitted out with two bathrooms (one ensuite) in pristine condition. The beds & linen were generous and comfortable, and well thought out clothes racks provided. The kitchen (whilst small) has every cooking/preparation utensil needed, plenty of glasses and crockery (often a downfall), a fabulous double door ice maker fridge, and your own supply of fresh eggs from the laying hens outside your door, which my granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed collecting each morning (just don’t plan on huge omelettes in case the girl’s production is low). Glorious high ceilings and large bedrooms (with ceiling fans) together with a spacious lounge/dining (air conditioned) make for an enjoyable and authentic experience in this beautiful old Queenslander, right down to the Hills Hoist out the back off the large mud room/laundry. The lawn is ideal for family games and along with an array of colour in the cottage gardens, there is plenty of areas to enjoy and explore further afield. Fabulous spot for sunrise and seeing the setting sun colours across the skies. No city lights or pollution here. Communication with the owners was excellent and a minor issue quickly resolved. The welcome hamper was thoughtfully put together by people who know about the little extras that make a stay. A real credit to the vision they have for this property.

Nice spot but a bit small for the price. Liked the ability to walk up the hill to a private table and chairs for sunset. Nice environment and gardens, with a nice position overlooking a valley, but at least need a bigger deck! Clean and modern, it’s a simple demountable style building dressed up somewhat. Not bad, not great! There are a few options out that way. There is a winery in the valley, only 5 min away or so that is a great place to visit. Go for sunset!
