Just some feedback on Popi Star Hotel and from an ex long-serving travel agent. This hotel has since changed hands and offers all-inclusive. So still bear in mind this hotel is a basic 2/3-star Greek hotel; clearly, it can't compare to, say, a 4-star hotel. What I can confirm is that the hotel is very clean, rooms are adequate with air conditioning included. Cocktails are very limited to around 3 or 4 choices, and they stipulate the choices. Local beers, spirits, etc., and soft drinks are available. I can't comment on breakfast yet, but lunch and evening meals are absolutely delicious. The food here, for me, has beaten all my experiences of many four-star hotels in, say, Spain, Turkey, etc. Great choice, served hot, and yes, really, really tasty. The pool area is chilled, with no sunbed wars. Staff are helpful, some with language barriers, but still kind. Overall, I'm really loving this hotel, it's definitely improved, and I feel that within time, it will improve even more. I think this year is a little trial and error, and there are certainly no errors from my experience. Would recommend to couples, elderly as long as no severe mobility issues, families with older children. So if wanting a simple hotel, with no high expectations, and on a tighter budget! Definitely book here! Can't wait to come back in September..
