Originally we had booked a ferry crossing with an apartment in Hallfreda Hotel for 4 days. We liked Gotland and this diamond among accommodation so much that we let our ticket for the return ferry trip expire and stayed there for another 5 nights. The hotel, the apartment and the garden are a dream. An ideal base for excursions and a place to return to in the evening for peace and relaxation. The owner Jonas is very helpful. In the low season (May) some recommendations were not yet open. As we are more into nature anyway, this was not a problem. On our next trip to Gotland, Halfreda Hotel would again be our first choice.

From the very first time we stepped into the door and was greeted by Jonas. I knew we found the right place. The atmosphere was peaceful. A place you can unwind and enjoy spending time with your family. The amenities were excellent. Everything from the comfort of the rooms to a well prepared breakfast. I highly recommend it. Amazing place with kind and professional service 🧡 Beautiful rooms. Everything very clean. I would like to go again. Strongly recommend. Free parking. Very close to Visby and other places. Excellent choice. Quite and you get a very good sleep. Beautiful surroundings. Very good if you like biking. Can take a bus.

Hallfreda was our base for a cycling holiday. It was a great choice for us. Jonas and his wife are unbelievably helpful and do one of the best breakfasts we’ve eaten anywhere. Hallfrede is a delightful boutique hotel set in lovely gardens. We would not hesitate to recommend a stay here. Andrea and Graham Davies (Shrewsbury, UK).

Jonas (the hotel owner) made us feel very welcome and provided great service - especially the breakfast which was amazing! The hotel itself is well located if you are looking for a nice place to stay in the countryside but yet only 10 -15 mins drive from Visby centre. Would recommend!

Anfang Juni haben wir 2 Wochen in dem wundervollen Halfreda Hotell verbracht. Der alte Gutshof mit seinem großen Garten und den sehr geschmackvoll eingerichteten und gemütlichen Zimmern und Appartements ist ideal für einen erholsamen Urlaub. Der Tag begann mit einem leckeren und abwechslungsreichen Frühstück vom Buffet. Jonas, der Besitzer, war immer ansprechbar und hat uns viele Tipps für interessante Ausflüge gegeben. Wir können dieses wunderbare Hotel nur empfehlen. Bei einer nächsten Gotlandreise werden wir ganz sicher wieder Halfreda Hotell buchen
