The Gotembakan

I stayed at this hotel in 2018. There were only a few restaurants opposite the hotel and the rooms were old. This year, the surrounding area is much more lively. There is a shopping mall next to the station and the rooms are much newer. Although it is shown as 17 square meters, the room layout is OK. There is no problem opening two 24-inch suitcases at the same time. The JR station and the express bus station are across the road from the hotel. There is a free bus to the outlet through the station. The cost-effectiveness is as high as ever. The hotel includes breakfast but no mineral water. (The first photo is from 2018)

Everyone gave this hotel a low rating. My experience was better. This is a local old hotel, which has been opened for more years than I am. Although the facilities are a bit old, it retains the service style of old Japanese hotels: 1. The staff are older and not enthusiastic, but they basically respond to requests. I went to climb Mount Fuji, and they helped me store my luggage for a day and a night. As a result, I lost the luggage tag, but I still got it with my ID card, and the grandfather at the front desk remembered and asked me if I got on the bus! You know, many hotels around Mount Fuji do not provide free luggage storage, especially overnight, so their service is quite good; 2. The hotel is in a very good location, opposite Gotemba Station, which is very convenient for travel. There is a free bus to the outlet across the subway station, which runs every 15 minutes; 3. You can see Mount Fuji by opening the window in the room 4. Provide a lot of toiletries: facial cleanser, skin care water, cream, facial mask, bathing medicine bag... 5. The breakfast is quite rich, and there is Japanese fried chicken, which is very delicious

The mountain view room has a view of Mount Fuji, but there is a building in front that blocks the good view, which is a bit regrettable. It depends on luck to see Mount Fuji.
