Incredible views as you approach the Gasthaus — and once in our room with a balcony. You look directly at the Dachstein glaciers and turquoise blue-green lake, with beautiful hikes around and up over the lake. Room was cheery and bright and pristinely clean. Breakfast buffet selection was good with everything fresh and replenished, and dinner was delicious with fresh pike and perch on the menu. Stayed here four nights and could have stayed much longer. Perfect location and nice service. Staff even directed us to a medical clinic a few towns away for Lyme disease picked up elsewhere in Austria. We appreciated all their help and service.

Wir haben am Sonntag Nachmittag 4 Kaffee + Mehlspeise bestellt. Der Kaffee war ein helles, teeähnliches Getränk. Als ich damit zur Bar ging: "Der ist wirklich sehr hell. Wird storniert. Sie brauchen ihn nicht zu bezahlen." Eine neue Bestellung war nicht möglich, weil: "Sie werden den gleichen Kaffee bekommen, der ist so eingestellt, wir können keinen Elektriker holen, der das jetzt macht." ?????? Beim Bezahlen der Mehlspeise beim Oberkellner: "Ja, das mit dem Kaffee, das kann schon einmal passieren."????? Hier scheint es unangemessen, einen ganz normalen Kaffee zu erhalten zu wollen.

Freundlicher Gasthof in einmaliger Lage. Wir hatten etwas Pech mit dem Wetter, aber die Balkone mit Blick auf den Dachstein sind überdacht und damit konnten wir auch bei Regen den einzigarten Ausblick geniessen. Am frühen Morgen und späten Abend hatten wir den See ganz für uns alleine. Sehr freundliche Bedienung, gutes Frühstück und Essen.
