We booked this hotel after our previous booking elsewhere was cancelled 2 days before travel.
The hotel is about a 12 minute walk from the station and a 4 minute walk from the Old Town which suited us fine.
It’s a very interesting old building on a quiet street. Our double room was very big with a vestibule, bathroom sleeping area and dining area. It had a fridge and hot plate but no kettle. However you can get tea and coffee downstairs at any time. There is also a large fridge downstairs which operates as an honesty bar.
Our breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of breads, cereals, cold meats, cheeses, salads , yogurts and fruit plus scrambled eggs.
I would definitely stay there again

My family keeps returning year after year, this is by far the best hotel in the area! We were so happy to see a lot of familiar faces again, a great sign when staff stays! The breakfast buffet is excellent and you should not miss dinners there! The chef is outstanding. Rooms are very clean, housekeeping is doing an excellent job. I love the crisp white linens. The front desk staff always has a smile and helps with anything you need. Love the snacks they always provide. If you have mobility issues, the elevator goes straight from the parking lot to the rooms, very appreciated. The windows open (which is rare these days) and you can sleep with fresh air coming in. You can tell that staff care about the guests, we can't wait to return!

21.03.24 Niestety cały wieczór jakiś Ukrainiec pukał do nas do drzwi, twierdząc, ze jest to jego pokój. Dziecko się bało, strach było otworzyć te drzwi…. Mowilam mu przez drzwi, ze zadzwonię po policję , jeżeli nie przestanie. Pani na recepcji nic sobie z tego nie robiła , to był po prostu horror!!!Zadzwoniłyśmy do niej, ze ten nieproszony gość do nas puka, a oba, ze on jest proszony, bo ma wynajęty pokój, to w takim razie dlaczego do nas pukał …..My bałyśmy się z pokoju wyjść !Szok

GGuest UserThe hotel is lovely and well located, close to the centre of the old town. We had a very spacious room with large, sparkling bathroom. Everything was very clean. Although there were a lot of people staying, we didn’t hear a sound. Reception staff spoke good English and were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good. Wifi was fast and reliable. There was no electric kettle in the room, but this was supplied on request. Recommended.

Hhappy-reiseThis hotel was recommended by a friend who had stayed there before. We enjoyed the stylish building, the lovely corner room with its many windows & balcony, the excellent shower and the comfortable bed. The breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice, fresh ingredients & tasty coffee. We also ate in the hotel restaurant twice, enjoying various menu items & lovely local draft beer. The staff were all helpful & friendly, particularly the young Polish man who spoke good English. The wi-fi was mostly ok, but with fairly frequent interruptions (I was only trying to listen to BBC radio). Although this hotel is in some ways old-fashioned, it does deserve a good report for style & comfort.

GGuest UserIn the hotel (master house) I booked a single room for one night. The room was large, very clean and cozy furnished. The staff was very nice and premature. The breakfast was very varied and lovely and did not miss anything. The location is very central and there is a closed and monitored parking (10 EUR per night), which is quickly reached. All in all, therefore, a very recommendable accommodation. - Very well we have eaten in the restaurant Schlesische Oase, which belongs to the hotel, but is a few houses away.

We’ll start with the (few) things which were acceptable. Our (“superior”) room was a reasonable size - albeit the decor, while in acceptable condition, was outdated with multi-patterned wallpaper and clashing carpet. The bathroom was satisfactory. One of the big failings was breakfast. One morning we had to wait with a crowd of other guests for a table and every morning the food was poor: rubbery scrambled eggs, only two hot dishes, only a few types of cheese, mainly processed meats, a bowl of mixed fruits on one occasion with no separate fruits to choose from, only two flavours of fruit juice. Not 4 star quality – or even 3. Further, for all three of the days we were staying, the restaurant was closed (and it’s quite a walk to restaurants in the city). Not acceptable for 4 stars – or even 3. Some staff members were very helpful (4 star) - but a few others were unhelpful and rude (0 star). Prices would be acceptable for a 4 star hotel – but are too high for the quality of services we experienced. We cannot under any circumstances recommend this hotel; some of its main services were very poor.
