I have to share my terrible experience with Salkim Cave house for 3 nights in Cappadocia. Before our arrival, I asked information about hot air balloon and other tours with them, I got better price later so we booked with other agents, I told him we got better deal before we book and he said “you can choose”, but he still booked hot air balloon for us without confirm with us, there are misunderstandings between us, when he found out we have booked with others and he has to cancel his booking, he was so angry, he blamed me for that, and when we arrived the hotel, he showed his unhappiness from the beginning to the end, which made me felt so bad, honestly I don’t think it’s my fault, maybe I should told him directly that we booked with others because he is more expensive, but he definitely should confirmed what he booked for us, I said I’m sorry many times , I said it’s first time we come to turkey and I’m sincerely sorry for his inconvenience, hope we can let it go and we want to continue our holiday. But he just won’t forget about it, he shows hate and what I can’t believe is, he refused to provide us breakfast which is included with the booking, this is really unacceptable. I have travelled all the time but never been treated like this before. If we’re not travelling with our 4 years old son, I definitely won’t stay with them. I would rather dragging my luggage in the mid night and looking for somewhere else. my son is hungry in the morning but we couldn’t find many restaurants open in town until noon. For what I know during our stay in kappadocia, the ballon and tours he provided are all €10-20 more expensive each person than what we booked, that’s no big problem, but he shouldn’t hate his guests just because we didn’t book tours with him, he should know that they are running an accommodation not a travel agent, the most important thing is to provide nice accommodation and service for guests, he never shows smile and the only one time he talked to us during our stay was the day before we leave , “when you leave tomorrow?” He asked, still with long face and even phone on the ear. No please no smile. I honestly don’t know why he hates us like that. The other reviews mentioned how nice he is, I really wonder if we’re talking about the same person. For the three nights we stayed, I couldn’t sleep and keep thinking of what he said and his bad attitudes, I felt so bad and I don’t think we deserved this. When we checked out I asked politely how I can make a complaint with them, he said “ you want complaint? I’m the owner, the son of the owner “ which means they don’t accept any complaint I guess. “You can leave on google” he said. So will I. Our kappadocia experience will be much better without staying with Salkim Cave house.
