While my wife and I did not stay at the hotel, we visited the restaurant for dinner from a nearby hotel in Gordes, and I cannot recommend this restaurant in any regard. Firstly and most importantly, my wife got food poisoning and spent the night getting sick. Secondly, after we placed our order (entree, plat, and dessert), our entrees proceeded to arrive within 5 minutes, and upon completion, the main course arrived within another couple of minutes. I know that the kitchen wasn’t able to whip our orders up in that amount of time, so evidently, par-cooked items were being improperly stored—hence the food poisoning. Finally, the wine: we ordered a beautiful rose and an expensive red. The rose came out in a timely manner, however, the red did not come out until after our main courses were served (perhaps because everything was so rushed in the kitchen). When the red did come out, it was not the red we ordered; in fact, they were out of the red we ordered, so we kindly chose another bottle while our meals got cold. Then, at the end of our main courses, the sommelier mentioned that his team had found the bottle of wine originally ordered in the cellar—perfect timing. We asked if it would be possible to order the bottle to take away but were told it would be impossible. The sommelier mentioned he had just started within the month and, but in any event, no exception was made and no accommodation was offered: bad service for an expensive meal. We should’ve been wary when the menu online didn’t line-up with the menu at the restaurant, and not just for seasonal changes—there was no gastronomic/tasting menu option at the restaurant—this was likely because the B team was in the kitchen for shoulder season, but May in Provence, come on. This was a far, far cry from the sort of experience we expect from a self-respecting restaurant, let alone one that charges over 100 euros for a meal (excluding wine), let alone a restaurant that is listed in the Michelin. I am hoping that the restaurant reaches out to help remedy this situation.

This was the second time we visited this hotel and decided to stay a week… and that’s the issue. The hotel location is amazing with views overlooking the valley near Gordes. The seating location for dinner is very pleasant and food is of good quality. However there are some real failings. The only dinner offered is this gastronomie menu which is good for 1 night… after which you want to try something else. That means you have to use your car (and hence cannot drink). There are some good restaurants in Bonnieux but that’s a 30 min drive or you can walk to Gordes through the local paths and try the other 2 places (cafe style or Pizzeria). It’s a shame the hotel does not maximise the pool area. During the day there is no waiter watching out for your requests which means each time having to go and find them to order a drink. At lunch time they have a nice (normal) menu at the pool but they do not offer that menu at dinner time… shame. I am not sure we will return a 3rd time as it we really did not like the aspect of finding dinner every night. The cleaning staff however were super helpful and amazing. We had food poisoning (which we suspected was a biscuit offered with coffee around the pool), and the cleaning team offered us water / tips and kept checking in! The buildings themselves need a bit of TLC for a 5 star. Could be amazing…

The hotel has a beautiful view and is secluded enough to feel as though it's an exclusive resort. The property has plenty of surprises to find. My wife and I went walking the first evening and found a path. We followed it and it led to a "fairy trail" which we took our grandson on the following day. He had a blast and spent a lot of time out there. After that, we picked cherries directly from the tree and have never had any as good. The rooms (we had 2) were spacious enough and had large bathrooms. The toilet is in a smaller separate room with a small sink. The room-service was quick and food was good. Breakfast was plentiful and had standard European buffet fare. The indoor pool was nice, but the flooring is marble, which makes it extremely slick. There are no real negatives to the property. We enjoyed our stay and would be happy to visit again if we're ever in Gordes.

Me and my friends were there as part of tour group. The whole staff very attentive, reactive and friendly. The only thing to say that my luggage was supposed to be in my room when we arrived, and the reception didn't know anything about it and I was worried. Finally, they realized it was a baggage-handler mistake my luggage that put it in another room. The cleaning was excellent and the lobby in the evening there's a fire chimney very comfortable and cozy. We dined our second night in the hotel and it was exquisite and high recommended. The restaurant managers and the waiting staff were very professionals.

I went with my husband for a wedding event. The hotel is huge and luxury. The receptionist was excellent, the young woman who hosted us explained us and gave as a tour explained with a lot of details the facilities and places and guides us to our room. The room was very clean, convenient, minimalist and high-quality beds and furniture. In that afternoon we called to the front desk for asking for an iron for preparing us for the wedding and we were told that in 5 minutes we had the iron and the iron board in our room and we waited 30 minutes. Finally, a little bald man gave us the iron but we were already late for the wedding and we get dressed rapidly without ironing. We were upset for that event as it's a 5-stars hotel and no much people when we arrived and those kind of details can make a bad impression. Overall, the rest of staff and service were conformed.

This beautiful property is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the wonderful environment that surrounds it. The amenities, gardens and views from the property are amazing. A little far from the Gordes town but they offer a free shuttle service.

We dined at the restaurant. The chef prepared delicious dishes. HOWEVER! The sommelier was very rude and our waiter insulted our intelligence with sarcastic jabs at our nationality. The wait staff started to break down the restaurant before all the tables had left. The help ruined the experience!

The staff could not have been less helpful. Very surprising for a 5 star hotel and far below our expectations.

Great location & outdoor. Staff is nice. But the looks quite old, from our point of view it is a good 4 stars but definitely not worth 5, and the price is not justified.
