One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Super clean, friendly staff, and reasonably priced. Plus the breakfast was really good.

I stayed there for 3 nights. I really enjoyed my time there. The only issue I had was with air conditioning. It was really very noisy

We had a WONDERFUL experience with all of the front desk staff. We came to town for our son's wedding and we were not disappointed! They were able to assign rooms right next to each other for my 82yrs old widowed mother in law. It was great to have her close to is because she needs our assistance . The breakfast staff was great and very helpful. Kind rooms were spacious and clean. Would definitely stay here again if traveling through!!

A nice facility: Check-in was easy, and the desk staff was friendly and helpful. My room was quite large, clean, and well-maintained (although there was a shower curtain issue that I worked around but reported to the desk for maintenance). There are many eating places (fast-ish, not fine dining) on the nearby main road.

TV didn’t work. No smoke detector in the room. Bathroom sink faucet didn’t work. I will never stay here again.

The check-in process went very smoothly. The attendant was helpful and efficient (always a plus after long car trips). We had made reservations well in advance of our check-in and the hotel had a room reserved in a quiet corner of the top-floor. I walked into the bathroom to unpack my toiletries and noticed lots of long, dark hairs scattered across the bathroom floor and a few in the tub as well. Upon looking in the sink, there was more hair, but of a shorter variety. This caused me to worry about the cleanliness of the sheets and I couldn't escape that thought. I went back down to the front desk. The attendant apologized and moved us to a different room. This room was on the first floor and off the front desk area in a hallway that was utilized for guests to access both the elevators and the dining area. Quite noisy, but it was clean. We stayed for two nights and never saw housekeeping the entire time. The front desk was able to provide additional towels and toiletries, so we were taken care of. It is worth noting that this hotel has bedside tables on only one side of the bed. The other side just has a standing lamp. The front desk attendant and the dining room attendants were phenomenal! They were always helpful, and it was a pleasure to interact with them. The free breakfast area was really crowded, but this team bustled to get everything out, re-stock, and clean up. I never saw them not scurrying or smiling during breakfast hours. They did amazing work

I travel to Charleston often and I won’t be back. When I checked in the coffee maker had old coffee and was not clean .. I cleaned it. You’re welcome … The next day, my bed was made but bathroom was not cleaned. I can’t believe that NOTHING is available in the lobby. The closet CVS is over a mile walk to purchase WATER. HOW ABOUT A VENDING MACHINE? Bye

I stayed at Wingate the weekend of March 8th. Front Desk Staff was beyond rude and insulting with no regard to customer service at all. Upon arrival on Saturday, told Front Desk Staff my room key was left at the front desk by my boyfriend who had to checkin the night prior. Without even looking, she said no key was left and was immediately dismissive. Tried reasoning with her by showing her receipts that I booked and paid the room reservation and I had both my name and boyfriends name on the reservation, but his name was listed so he could check-in the day prior without me. She remained dismissive suggesting my name wasn’t on the reservation and she wouldn’t look for or provide me my room key. After asking for her Manager and having my boyfriend talk to her on the phone, she then looked and found that my key was left after all. Her tone and attitude softened completely and she was apologetic, but I feel disappointed that she profiled me from the onset. Does not matter that I (not my boyfriend) was the actual customer - she should have listened to reason and made more of an effort to amicably resolve the issue. Tried reaching out to Wingate Mgmt to resolve and did not receive a response.

King room was very spacious. Clean towels every day. Room was clean and bed was comfortable! Breakfast is standard fare. Great location for staying to see family at military graduation.
